Sell 100 BCV to buy 200 at SSR?

I just had an idea! I havn't ran it past the SO yet, but what do ya'll think? We have 300 points at BCV, 200 with a 100 add-on, and go every year in June and October. I thought we could sell the 100 points and buy 200 at SSR. Then we'd have 200 for an Oct. stay at BCV for the F&WF and 200 for a June stay at SSR for easy access to DTD. Party, Party! I'm going to get read the riot act for wanting another 100 points.

You know which one I voted for!

Good idea, only if you did not have transaction costs on the sale of the BCV points. I suspect that it would be costly, even if you got the SSR $10 rebate on the new purcchase.

Seems like quite a big effort just to get 100 SSR points. Personally I like the idea of having a larger block at a single resort.

We have two 210 point contracts... I'm happy with my purchases, but sometimes I find 2 contracts a little cumbersome to work with, for planning a big trip.

This is just me talking, but I would never sell just to buy at another resort. The seller transaction costs are prohibitive if you go through a broker. I would much rather use those dollars to buy MORE points at SSR. We own at two DVC's and love having two eleven month options.

We'd actually need 150 for our yearly June one bedroom Thursday thru Monday stay, and will look into it later before it sells out.
