I was getting out of bed this morning and realized I love the winter holidays because:

I don't have to get out of bed until 8 and the kids can sleep as late as they want cause the kids have no school.
I don't have to make lunches and snacks or plan what the kids have to wear or rush thru breakfast cause the kids have no school.
I don't have to argue with the kids about homework cause they have no school.
We can all stay up late and watch a movie cause the kids have no school and see reason no. 1.
For two weeks in a row I only have to work 3 1/2 days.
I get to go shopping for me with all those lovely GC's I got.

I hate the winter holidays because:

The kids are home from school all day and the house is a mess.
The kids are home from school all day so my electric bill is up.
The kids are home from school so I have to pay $300 for a babysitter while I'm at work.

So what's your love/hate list?
Please no flames please this is totally in fun.

I love the winter because:
Christmas, my b-day, and presents
My atleast yearly trip to WDW for Christmas, but sometimes for b-day and other non-occassions.:cloud9:

I hate the winter because:
I hate cold weather--that's why I live in the south!
I hate to bundle up!
I hate the way the heaters dry up my skin and make it harder to breathe!
I hate long sleeves!
I hate turtlenecks!

Did I mention the temperature is below 70???:headache:

I love them because I love my family and friends and get to spend more time with them. I love the warm feeling I get from the memories of my child hood. I love them because I like all the decorations everywhere and on the houses. It makes the winter running a little more enjoyable to see the lights.

The only thing I don't like really is that they cause a bit of a pile up of things to do and holiday parties but while from a time management point of view I don't like it I do like getting so see everyone. I wish Christmas wasn't pushed on us commercially so early but I just avoid it and can't really call it a hate or even a dislike, just a wish.
