Self portrait cross stitch

I started with the Selfportrait cross stitch kit, but have a problem: One of the colors (I think it's the 767, it's off white), there are lots of that symbol on the chart but just two strands. Another colour, the ecru one, it's about not used at all, but there are lots of strands included.
I guess they switched it, but of course, I had already stitched quite a lot before i noticed. Anyone have this same problem?
I bought some extra off-white
But I like the result of what i've done so far: I have stitched the Mickey, and part of the chair he's sitting on.

Btw, did the iron-on of the "painting" work well with everyone? I have never evever done this before, and am a little scared it won't turn out well, and will ruin the complete design!!


Also, some time ago, I asked someone on these cross stitch threads if she could send me a copy ofthe castle pattern, got her email address to paypal the money and haven't done it yet. Oops... have been 2 months in a cast though, no/ limited internet. Will have to make work from that one.

I did this quite a few years ago and don't remember not having enough thread. Like you though i was a little worried when it came to ironing on the transfers and did not want to ruin the whole thing. In the end there was nothing to worry about and it was very easy to do, just remember to follow the instructions carefully. It is beautiful when finished and has remained on my wall for many a year now along with another 6 out of the collection.
