I have looked all over the boards and the net but can't seem to find out if there is a fee for self-parking at VGC if we are staying there on points. We are new to DVC and this is our first trip to Disneyland as a DVC member. I probably missed the answer on the VGC lovers thread or others. Thanks for any help.

Self-parking is free for members staying on points, since it is covered within our dues. Valet parking is extra.

There is free self-parking across the street from VGC. No one ever ask me if I was staying with cash or points.

If you pay for your room with cash, you pay a daily resort fee which covers such things as self park, daily newspaper and wifi access..

Things have changed at the hotels there; they used to charge a resort fee, and that included parking among other things. That resort fee was paid for by dues (or whatever). Now they don't have that, no resort fee, but a parking fee for the hotels (so if you don't have a car to park, there isn't anything else charged).

So it's actually a good question; it's only been a few weeks that they've had this new structure. If the people on here answering "no parking fee" have stayed there since they did away with the resort fees at DLR, then it's good current info (and it seems DVC now pays for the parking fee for those who bring cars, which is probably a savings to them/us instead of paying for everyone's resort fees)...but if those saying "no" haven't stayed since there has been the new parking fee...OP you might want to make absolutely sure!
