We are thinking of having a week in Dorset in July (seeing as it's such a long time before our WDW December trip :) ).

Does anyone know of any nice self catering cottages or similar in Dorset - not fussy on what part of Dorset, we just fancy doing Dorset for a change :)

Hi Tim

I'm from Dorset originally and while I don't have any self catering recommendations I can recommend Dorset as a nice place to visit :)

I still have family in Dorset so I will see if any of them know anywhere that might suit :)

Cheers

Karen

no reccomendations either as we always stay with the relatives in poole.....i can reccomend poole for a visit tho and if you go then buy a poole pottery dolphin ( every house should have one imo)

Although down in Dorset I don't know any self catering cottages personally.

There is so much you can do in Dorset, from the beaches in Bournemouth and Poole, to Corfe Castle, the Jurassic Coastline and the New Forest, just to name a few. Where do you choose to go?

A good place to start looking is on the Dorset County Council website http://www.dorsetcc.gov.uk/index.jsp they have links to the websites of all the local tourism offices. From them you should be able to get a list of cottages.

Alternatively, depending on what you are after, there is loads of different holiday parks from Haven in Christchurch and Weymouth (plus other places in Dorset) to Rockley Park in Poole.

Hope you get something sorted.

Sam xx
