Just received a post card in the mail thanking DS for complying with the Selective Service registration requirement.
I know we don't have a draft and I am very thankful for the men and women who volunteer to serve our country. But this just really got to me. I am glad this is only a formality and hopefully our country will never have the need for a draft system.
He may decide to follow in his uncle's footsteps in the future, but that would be his choice.
