It seems that some posters aren't clear that our issue is NOT that they have made these FP+ or Tier 1.
The issue for us is that they won't be available as standby at all!
Therefore if I'm waiting to ride Maelstrom and have 30 minutes to kill, previously I could have headed to the UK to meet Pooh (in his special location) and now I won't be able to do that.
In all the literature Disney has answered the question "what if there are no FP+ times available for the attraction I want to experience?" with, "Don't worry, all guests still have the opportunity to use the stand by line!"
It is this option that they have taken away. Travelling with adventurous four and six year olds we want to be able to FP+ rides and use stand by to meet Pooh and Tigger. I don't think that's too much to ask!
The worry is that while it is only one attraction in each park currently, this may be another test that gets extended. Not to mention that Pooh and Tigger will no longer meet at DAK so there isn't that choice either.

I understand what every ones issue is but I am saying from my point of view it's nice to have another option for a tier 1. We had so many unused FP because they weren't worth having. Have a FP+ for meet Winnie the Pooh and get in the maelstrom line. Then when you have 30 minutes to kill waiting for Winnie the Pooh you can queue for maelstrom. I have never queued for more than 20 minutes for that ride. Is a FP really necessary. People got so worried that they created the tiering in Epcot and Hollywood Studios that it would happen every where and it hasn't. I don't see the point worrying about it till it happens. I still don't understand. After you have used a tier 1 FP can you not use another? So once you have used it why don't then get 1 for Winnie the Pooh.

Yes please, add more small child friendly options to tier 1
No, please don't take away the option to stand and wait in line for those guests who are willing to do so.
Thank you!
I am actually in favor of the additional options for families and non thrill-riders. It was an area that was lacking and forced people into FP's they didn't want without giving them a fair choice of suitable alternative.
In summary:

No, please don't take away the option to stand and wait in line for those guests who are willing to do so. This is going to become a problem for those same families when their little one spots Pooh and wants to go say hello, but can't join a line and wait because the family already has their FP's for the day allocated.
If I want to spend my time in standby then that should be my choice,

This will make you all So very happy
We could easily go with no FPs at Epcot tbh.Yes and no. I'm glad there is a standby option. I think the initial idea was ludicrous. But at the same time, they need to offer something decent for families who can't or don't want the typical headliners. Hopefully they do this soon. Epcot is a very difficult park for everyone - thrill seekers struggle and those with small children struggle. They need to find a balance to consider everyone. Even a playground for 5 years and under with a FP option for 30 minutes to let the kids burn off some energy with free play. Now there's an idea![]()

Elsie loves the bone yard at AK and the Honey I shrunk the kids at HS. Epcot could do with something like that. The new technology play ground area are still too advanced though she loved her piggy bank game. She didn't want to give her piggy back lol.
