My boyfriend and I signed up for the segway tour. We need to be at Guest Relations in Epcot at 8:15. He said we may have to take a cab as the buses do not start that early. Is this true? What about the people that have the breakfast in Norway? I did not sound accurate to me, especially when they say to get there about 30 minutes before the gates open. Someone please clarify! ::MickeyMo

Done the tour twice......never did seem right to me, but YUP.....gotta grab a cab.......

Grrr! That's so frustrating! It just seems so....wrong! And here I thought their transportation was awesome.

Do they actually give you information about the World Showcase? I'm so excited about this! Do they still give the pin? ::MickeyMo

I would go to the Transportation board and ask for sure.Tyler ( one of the most "Famous of the bus drivers"...can tell you what you should do. I, too, was told by a CM to take a cab, rather than use the Disney bus transportation for the character breakfasts...NOT SO! Tyler said all of the buses running from the Disney hotels leave 45 minutes before the breakfasts....Check that board for your answer....We are going to a character breakfast in Animal Kingdom...and were advised by Tyler and the Transportation board to be there (at the park) between 7:30 and 7:45.....and to take the 7:15 bus from our hotel....instead of taking a cab. :Pinkbounc :cheer2:  :rotfl: :earsgirl:

Thanks! That's good to know! ::MickeyMo

We took the Segway tour in September and had to be at EPCOT at the same time. We were staying at WL. The buses were running and we got there with time to spare. I believe that the bus to the TTC showed up first at the resort, so we took that and then got on the monorail to EPCOT from there.

By the way, we loved the tour! Have a great time!

My DW and I signed up for the tour before Disney decided to change the parks EE days. I booked the 8:30 AM tour on a Wednesday, the day that WAS the EE day for EPCOT. When January 26th arrived, EPCOT was no longer the EE park on that day. I was told we should no problem getting to EPCOT by 8:15 because the buses run early for the character breakfasts. Well, the first bus to EPCOT didn't show up at the North Depot of POR until 8:10 AM! While we were sitting there waiting, 3 buses came for the MK and 2 each for AK and MGM. We arrived at EPCOT around 8:25 and hurried to the Guest Relations to the right of Spaceship Earth. Of course, that was the wrong one! We hurried over to the one to the left of SE, near the Electric Umbrella. It didn't seem to be any problem that a few of us arrived at 8:30. We signed a waiver and were escorted over to Innoventions for our training session. The tour was excellent. Not so much for the information we received about the WS, which was limited, but because the HT's are awesome. Yes, you do get a nice pin to commemorate the tour.

We never did the Segway Tour but we did have PS reservations at the MK one day at 8:05 AM (on a day that it opened at 9am) and we had no trouble getting a bus there. I would ask at the front desk the day before and find out what time the transportation starts. I was told 7am when I was there last time. You may need to make sure to be on the bus line a bit earlier since I'd assume the buses are a bit more scarse that early but I beleive buses to all parks should start early enough for you to make it there - but as I said - double check with the front desk - they're the best way to find out in case schedules change often.
