Segway Tour Tip

I just booked our Epcot segway tour for July 11......

Note: The tour only takes 10 people. All of May is now booked. So if anyone is thinking about doing it, you better call and book it. You have to pay in advance. I am glad I called when I did.

If you have an annual passport, you can get a discount. We haven't got ours yet, but they said that we could call back when we got them and they would credit the discount. $80 per person.

You also get a discount when using Disney Visa. I paid $68 for the tour.

10 of us just booked a Segway tour in October. They give discounts for DVC, AP, Disney Visa, or AAA memberships.

I didn't have my AP yet, but I do have AAA. I think I will call back and see if I can get them to apply AAA discount. They said they would credit me when I got the AP this summer. I just had to call back.

Has anyone done this? If so, was it worth it? It sounds like it would be a lot of fun.

Could someone explain what this is? I have never heard of it but everyone sounds very interested in it and I'm always looking for new things to try on the next trip.

I haven't done the tour, but friends of mine have and they said it was a blast. You start at Epcot with 30 minutes of Segway instruction/practice, then you go for a tour around WS on your Segway. It runs in the morning before WS opens. (They don't want you to run down other guests, no doubt.)

Wow this sounds really cool! I'll have to try and convince my parents to book this. Is there an age restriction? How far ahead do you usually have to book this tour?

I think you have to be over 18. They asked me if everyone in my party was over 18. But somewhere I thought you could be 16 with a parents signature. Just call and ask them. There is a weight limit of 250 lbs.
