My DH and I just found out we will be in the World for just shy of 48 hours in March to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We honeymooned there in 1998 and have been numerous times since. We are looking to do something special that we normally could not do since we usually travel with our 2 children. Since we won't have them for this trip, we thought about taking the Segway tour. Is this a good idea? Is a good way to spend 2 hours or should we do something else (ride the thrill rides, eat at "adult" restaurants, etc.)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Both the EPCOT and Fort Wilderness Segways tours are great.

The EPCOT tour times are early in the morning (can't remember the exact times). You could book an early tour before the park opens. By the time you're done touring the World Showcase, EPCOT will have either just opened to the public, or will be opening shorty. That means that you won't have missed any time in the parks. You will need to get up early for the tour, but it's fair trade off for not missing any park or meal time.

When we went sans kids...took the keys to the Kingdom tour at MK and the Segway at Epcot. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED both. It was money well spent to make some very special memories! We also enjoy eating at CA Grill during the fireworks at MK--with and without the kids. It is SOOOO romantic to watch the fireworks from the rooftop.

Thanks both of you, for your advice. We are going to do the Segway at Ft. Wilderness on Saturday morning since we will be at Epcot late Friday night (Extra-Magic Hours). We have eaten at the California Grill before and seen the fireworks. Awesome! We had our DD with us then and it was fine...just didn't appreciate paying $9 for a kids fish stick meal. But hey, it's Disney...who cares? It was great!

I've been reading about the Segway tours here on the DISboards, but I must be blind b/c i can't seem to find info. on the Disney Vacation site... I would greatly appreciate any help I can get! I think it sounds great for my DF and I, it is are first vacation together! ::MinnieMo

To find information about the tours, the best way is to go to Ecopt Park Page and where it says "Explore the parks" pull down tours. The Segway tours are listed there.

Yes, Yes, Yes! Go for it!

My husband/I did it last May for the first time at Epcot and LOVED EVERY minute of it! Can't wait to do it again. It was SO much fun! We did the first class at Epcot and it was great to ride around with no on there. If your annual passholders you get a discount when you book. Go For It!

I have done both the Segway at Epcot and at Ft. Wilderness. Liked the one at Ft. Wilderness best. We had more riding time. At Epcot they have you practice more inside. But both were wonderful!!! I loved them.

Another really fun thing to do is rent a sea raycer and ride around on it. we really loved doing it last December.

i've always wanted to try this tour. i just may try it next solo trip. thanks!
