There is also a discount for AP holders and for Disney VISA card holders. I believe those are both 15% now. I think the Disney VISA was 20% off for a while. If you are going to book the tour, just ask about discounts when you call and they let you know which discount (DVC, AAA, AP, Disney VISA) is offering the best deal.
This has probably been addressed before - but how do they check age on this tour? I believe you have to be 16 - DS will be when we go - but won't have a license yet to prove it. Do they ask for ID or just ask you how old you are and take your word for it?
Thanks!
FYI discounts were 15% DVC, 15% AP, 15% Disney Visa
They did say that we had to show photo ID, and that we can't enter through the international gateway because it doesn't open until 9am (bummer since we're staying at BWV).

If you come in thru the main gate, they have your names on a list, and sent us right to guest services. No one asks for proof of age. I believe the 16 minimum age is not due to having a driver's license, but because of the difficulty involved. This isn't as easy as you think. The machines are very tricky to master, not for an adult, but it would be quite hard for most kids.
Thanks for the info - I'm sure that my just turned 16 son will be much better at this than I am - and I've had my driver's license for - umm - well - a number of years!
