just takin a quick poll....do you know, have met, or have seen anyone famous?

My mom was best friends with Don Cheadle (Hotel Rawnda, Oceans 12) in High school.

I've met Rex Goudie & Melissa O'Neil (runner up for Canadian Idol last year, and the winner) & have autographs.

When we were going to Universal, Chris Brown was staying at the Hard Rock for this grad thing in Universal, and his tour bus almost ran us over.

The lead singer of April Wine is from my dad's hometown (and my friend didn't know it was a band xD)

I have others, i'll get back to you on it.

somehow my friend is related to Don Cherry.

Goldie Hawn and/or Kurt Russell might have been in my city, and their son has met my friends dad. but this is a rumour, so i'm not sure.

ummm...my teacher has had lunch with the queen (along with about.. 50 other people)

my ex-friend might have a recording contract within a year (with an unknown record label xD)


there were some rumours last year that Johnny Depp or Aerosmith was in my city. Johnny was there to see the Rolling Stones, and Aerosmith was seeing if it was worth doing a concert here.. apparently not.

my city was hosting the Mastercard Memorial Cup, our junior hockey league team is number one in Canada. the Stanley Cup was over here before the last series Edmonton versus Carolina.

my uncle is friends with the producer of Chicken Run

my best friends grandmother is a famous singer. or was. now she's just an old lady. a cranky one at that. she won't tell me her name though.

erm... mainly it's friends who know others

1. our family friend used to be a body guard for princess Margeret (also got an award from the queen for saving her life )
2. sister's teacher + friend played guitar for Daniel Bedingfield
3. I nearly bashed into the winner of the first fame academy (as in colliding)
4. my friend's cousin was in fame academy (second series you know, Paris) and we went to watch him perform in Covent Garden and we got just about everyone's autographs including the winner

Jon Heder. He's origonally from Salem, Oregon as well and my mom taught his little brother in Seminary AND he's from our Church. OH and he was taught by my old Drama teacher.

my mom's best friend's sister is a personal trainer and works w/ Mary Kate and Ashley's ex-nanny. cause they obviously don't need a nanny anymore. we got autographs but we didn't meet them. oh well. lol.

My sister, dad & I met James Marsters (Spike from Buffy/Angel!!) @ a sci-fi con. last yr XD and we also met Elijah Wood there.

A girl that was in my grade 8 class is on degrassi (she's not a main character, but she has lines and stuff)

Can't wait till people will say 'i knew caitlin in high school XD'

Oprah Winfrey has a house in Avalon, NJ and so do my grandparents... I've driven past it a few times.

My grandparents also have met Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick when they were in a restaurant in Italy. They took a picture with them! and also, they met the entire cast of Ocean's 12 (George, Matt, Brad, etc...) in the same Restuarant, as the cast had just finished filming Ocean's 12 and were celebrating.

I met Joey McIntyre, got his autograph and a picture with him at the Wicked stage door. I met/got autographs of Jonathan Pyrce (Governor Swann in PoTC) and Lucie Arnez (Lucielle Ball's daughter) at the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels stage door.

I also met Steve Howey who plays Van on the tv show Reba... he was staying at the same hotel I was when I was in Italy.

Piper Perabo (the oldest daughter in Cheaper By The Dozen) is from my town, and I knew her younger brother.
