Seems like rooms are really limited with code

I tried the new public code online right now, and it seems like the rooms are REALLY limited with the new code. I tried the same week we are going for free dining, and there are no rooms at POR, Comtemporary at all, and Poly is only lagoon/theme park view. I am going to play around with dates to see if I get anything better..but it's hard to compare my current package to the new package playing around with dates. The system is trying really hard to get me to book at the cabins, though. BTW, the week I am trying is Aug 24-30.

My DH is wanting to try the cabins though..I will tell him I can get the cabins for only $200 more with the code than we are paying for a week at POR, but we will lose our free dining..so unless he wants to eat in a lot, we may stick with what we have!

Go to www.disneyworld.com/affordable and there is a link to the left that says special offers. Click on that, and I think it's in the middle of the screen where you can click on "End of summer getaway offer" or something like that...

That is Labor Day weekend..... So I can see why it's booked.
That will be a very crowded weekend.

I am having the same problem looking at mid September, well past Labor Day. I would love to know the strategy behind the scenes with all these back to back promotions. We are also AP holders. I was able to book AP at Beach Club for part of our stay, but every time I try to complete our trip even trying to change our days, I keep getting SSR, OKW, Cabins and occassionally Contemporary Tower club level(way too high). We went during same week last year and it was much easier to find something and even make changes even with the free dining going on. I did find today WL available for part of stay with AP rate, but you have to book dining as well and we don't eat that much. It really seems like the rates are partially teasers to get you to call/check on the moderates etc. and try to get you into a DVC room. They now talk about renting DVC rooms while you are on hold with reservations.
