Seeking advice: Which 5 days in this range would be best to go?

I know everyone is saying the crowd calendars now suck. So, I am hoping to get some input about which days might be our best bet. We have 5 day hoppers and have two potential date ranges that will work.

Option 1: 5 days over Nov. 12 - 20.
Option 2: 5 days over Dec. 4 - 11. (I think this range is our better bet and I was thinking we could do Su, Tu - Fr. However, I recently saw someone saying Fr is typically crazy. That comment is actually what inspired me to post this thread.)

I think what we want to do is have 6 days total in Anaheim, with one being a non-park day. We'd also love to get to see fireworks and Fantasmic! many times as possible, knowing at least F! will likely only happen on weekends.

A few of our party get pretty anxious in large crowds. So, we are trying to balance crowds with being able to see the shows.

Any advice?

Thanks for any input!

I think both of these seem good. I have friends who went Nov 13-20 in 2019 and they said the crowds were good and they had a great time. But even with the Dec dates you wouldn't be there during Christmas break yet. I wouldn't worry too much about Friday being crazy. It will be your last day so you may have done most of your priorities by then. Our Friday in June was one of our best days.

I'd give the edge to December, because Nov 11 is veterans day and a lot of people will make a 3 day weekend out of that. It's also the first weekend with full holiday decor/activities and it will be slammed that weekend.

Heads up that Dec 4th will be Candlelight Sunday. That means the front section of the park will be crowded, mainly from 3pm-9pm.

We are going the 16th-20th of November. Crossing our fingers that we will hit a gap between Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving crowds.

Thanks everyone for the help!

I think we will keep those December dates then.

Limace, hope those dates end up awesome for you as well!

One other thing to note, while Christmas is always a busy time, MK holders are blocked out the last two weeks of December... So there might be an uptick during the week of locals visiting to see the holiday decorations before they're blocked out from making reservations.

I hope the November dates will be good - because that is when I am booked lol. Haven't been to DL in 6 or 7 years. We arrive the night of the 11th, first park day is the 12th. We go home on the 20th. I picked 5 days in that range (can't remember which days, I'll have to check). Figured we'd go to Knott's on another day, and possibly Universal.

Not really the last 2 weeks. We are only blocked out Dec 21 until Jan 1. We will be there that last couple days before the blockout.
