I would very much appreciate any advice on my on upcoming WDW stay at the VGF. We are currently booked in a lake view studio at the VGF January 7th to the 11th, 2016 for the marathon weekend (woot!). It turns out that we will be able to manage a few extra vacation days and I want to add two additional nights (so we check out on January 13th). Bummer for me--the night of the 11th is not available in the lake view studio but the 12th is. I am currently waitlisted (and have been waitlisted) for the night of the 11th because I originally thought we could only tack on one extra night. The 12th just became available. Should I book the 12th now and stay on the waitlist for the 11th and hope for the best? Do I book the higher one bedroom view for both nights and plan for a room change for the last two nights (and at least be guaranteed a room)? Another issue is points....I don't have enough points in my VGF contract to cover two nights in a one bedroom...I would need to use some points from my VB contract, which I have but won't become available until next week at 7 months....I hope this makes sense. I am giving myself a headache....

Any advice? Input? I would sincerely appreciate it. :surfweb:

If you have current points that you could go ahead and book the 12th with I would. Since you are coming up on the 7th month mark, you may be able to get the 11th soon. If a couple of months pass and it doesn't come through, then you can decide if you should cancel the 12th or not before you get into any penalties. If you have enough current points to hold a room for those two nights somewhere else, then I might do that too, or make a cash reservation backup plan.
