Seeing shuttle launch from Titusville Beaches?

Does anyone have any information on this? I read it somewhere you can see them from the beaches.

While I have never done it, I am sure you can. You can see a spec of the shuttle from Orlando so you must be able to see the entire shuttle from right next to it. My friends M-I-L lives over that way in a high rise and she has said she can see if from her window, so I don't see why you couldn't see it from the beach. There would be nothing to block your view.
