One of my friends just got back from Disney. I told her that my family was going to do MK for 4 days and she told me I could do MK in 2 days. My children will be 7 and 3 when we travel. It that ture you can see and do everything at MK in 2 days?
I then thought maybe we could go to MGM but was not sure my children were old enough for the other parks. My family has never been to Disney so we really don't have a clue here.

you should be able to see MK in 2 days, depending on when you go, you may be able to see everything you want to see and do in one day....but thats go go go...run run run....take your time and relax.....enjoy your vacation :thumbsup2

yes mk can definetly be done in three days!!!! How about epcot? This is an awesome park i think your children will love it!!

I think 2 days will cover most if not all of what you want to do at MK, depending on the time of year you go. We usually split our days into half days, morning and evening. We spend the morning at one park, go back to the resort to swim/nap/rest, then back to a park in around 4 or so. We plan 4 of the 1/2 days for MK, and we usually see/do what we wanted to. My boys are 5 and 2, so younger than yours, but they enjoy all 4 of the parks.

Personally, I wouldn't go to MK for 4 days then go back home, but that's up to you and what your family wants to do. Nothing is the right answer for anyone.

Have a great trip!

Yes...it can be done in 2 days with some planning.

First....go over all the attractions and see which ones eveyone definitely wants to do. Make it a priority to see these attractions before seeing others....that way, if you don't get to all the attractions.....you will at least have seen everyone's favorites.

Second....go early in the morning....take a break....and go back in the evening. The morning is usually not as busy as the evening and you can definitely get more rides in without as much waiting. I'm usually there about 15 minutes before opening. We then leave at around 2pm for an afternoon nap and we head back to the park in the evening.

Our first year with my boy...in 2004...he was 4 years old. I didn't want to head back to the room because I thought we would waste too much time going back and forth. We would show up to the parks at about 10:30am and try to stay as long as we could. By about 6pm, everyone was tired and cranky.

In 2005...my son was 5. We went early in the morning...hit the big rides...then headed back to the room for a nap between 2 and 5. You would be amazed how that nap makes the biggest difference. My 5 year old had energy after that and we were able to stay in the parks later without anyone being tired.

So...make a priority list of attractions....get everyone there early....hit the most popular attractions.....take a nap break....and head back in the evening for the parades, characters, and the lesser popular rides.

MK can be done in 2 days. Our family does all the time, although we do go every year. My suggestion would be to make a list of the rides/attractions you want to go on/see that way you know where you're going ahead of time. Since your children are younger you'd probably want to stay in the Fantasyland/Toontown area where they have character greetings and more child-friendly rides (for example: Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, Peter Pan, etc.).

Your children may also enjoy Epcot. In World Showcase there are Kidcot Funstops where kids can create and color masks and receive different pieces to their mask at each country. If you get a piece from every country, your kids will get an autographed poster from Goofy. My kids did this and they're 22, 18, and 15 and enjoyed it (you're never too old..). Also, there's the Living Seas, which is a large aquarium and is relatively Nemo themed.

Have fun on your first trip! :wizard:

Yes the Magic Kingdom can be done in 2 days IF you are willing to scarifice some activities. The major attractions, sure 2 days is plenty. If you want to do EVERYTHING then no 2 days is not enough.

Pick what's important to you and plan around those and you will enjoy your time there.

Thanks, you guys are wonderful. Finally got my guide books so I hope that will help.
I don't want to feel rushed so I will map everything out.
Our trip is May 2007.

Yes, you could do MK in 2 days, MGM one day, and then either AK or Epcot (but we usually take 2 days for Epcot).

Honestly, unless you want to experience EVERYTHING, you can do MK in one day. We always do and the last time we had a three-year-old and a 9 month old. Having said that, we always go during very low attendance (granted the hours the park is open is also less - so it's probably a wash).

We usually find that Epcot takes more time for us if you really want to see all the countries and do the rides. AK - 1/2 a day; MGM - 1 day.

I am not interested in the Hall of Presidents, Tom Sawyer Island, Astro Orbiter, the raceway, the teacups, Dumbo, Snow White's Scary Adventures, etc. Some may disagree, but if you want to have time for other things, then really research what interests you. When we go in August, my DD will be 3 and REALLY into the princesses and my DS will be 6 and tall enough for more rides so my perspective may change. We are going to have to to go Ariel's Grotto, for instance, when we would have skipped that in the past. We will also have to see the Cinderellabration show, I'm sure. We'd have skipped that too.
