I thought I read somewhere, that Disney characters dont walk around anymore you have to go see them at certain places. Does anyone have info on this? I have a DD5 who just has to see the princesses. And the rest of the family isnt too keen on sitting at a breakfast, I thought if we skip a Disney character meal, where else can I see them. Thanks :flower1:

The Princesses are in a special room in toontown. There is a princess dinner the the GF if you want to do a character dinner instead of a breakfast. We saw Sleeping Beauty at the entrance to the MK this fall.

You are correct; you must search out the characters for yourself. The princesses can be an interesting set to track down. Character breakfasts are the easiest option.

The princesses are usually found hanging solo (I think it's an ego thing  ) in various locations in the parks. Cast Members are a great resource in this case--they can usually call and find out which characters will be in a park that day. Cinderella, for instance, doesn't often venture outside her castle walls.

Princess Aurora is hard to find in Orlando, as she normally abides at Sleeping Beauty Castle. Those are very rare appearances indeed! The last time I saw her, it was like a mini stampede!

We were there in December, Epcot proved to be the best place to find princesses. Aurora and Belle (once with and once without the Beast) were in France, Snow White was in Germany, Jasmine (with Aladdin and Genie) was in Morocco and Mulan was in China. Of course, not all at the same time!! We were in Epcot on several different days and asked as we entered. CM was very helpful, made a phone call and we had the itinerary. Also, we were told that Cinderella is only in MK. Another option would be to go to the parades. We saw many a princess in the parades. HTH!

You will have no trouble finding characters, but the "face characters" are much more difficult. Here are some suggestions to find your child's favorite:

1. Read your park brochure carefully -- it'll list places you can find characters. For example, it'll give several times when Belle can be found in the rose garden behind the castle. She'll be reading her book, and it's a lovely little show.
2. When you sit down to rest, look around for out-of-the-way doors that open into small, enclosed courtyards -- I'm talking about unmarked, plain picket-fence type places that look like they could be the "backyard" of a store or restaurant. Characters often emerge from these little courtyard areas. If you happen to be there at the right time, you can be first in line!
3. Ask a cast member. They have amazing information on who will appear where.

Thanks so much for the advice. I always hate to bother people or ask questions when I am out somewhere. So I probably would have not thought to ask the CM's, you have taught me to ASK, haa haa.
