If I book a character breakfast for say 11:30 and the restaurant closes at 11:30, do we still get character interaction or do we need to be there before the end of breakfast?

I think that if the restaurant closes at 11:30, the last ADR you can get is about an hour before. I called to get breakfast at CRT, which closes at 11:15am and they said the last seating is usually 10:20 if available.

I don't think of the restaurants as "closing" as much as taking the last seating, KWIM?

We have booked many character meals for the last possible seating and loved it! The characters remain like they would at any other time, the food was always replinished, and we never felt rushed. They have a great system of seating people in an order that allows the restaurant to start shutting down and cleaning up some sections without interfering with your meal. The characters also work in a certain order and they will spend time with everyone before leaving.

The hours reflect the times that they do accept ADR's. For example, Chef Mickey's bfast hours are 7-11:30 and I actually booked a 4 top at 11:30am. I've read reviews of those who had late seatings who were not rushed and got plenty of attention.

Cool - that's what I wanted to hear! There are a couple of mornings that we'll need some extra rest so I wanted the last possible ADR. But I would never do it if it meant we wouldn't get good interaction.

We've had late seatings at several character meals. We like it since it is less rushed. :thumbsup2 But just so you know, at the 2 princess meals (Storybook in Norway and Park Faire at GF) the main characters (princesses and the prince (PF) only come around once. At PF the two mice stayed a little longer. At Storybook once the princesses came through we basically had the tower room to ourselves (only one other group) What I noticed that was nice at PF was even though we were pretty much the last group in the restaurant, they continued to replenish the food until we finished-that was an unexpected surprise. :goodvibes

Thanks for the info! I was going to do this at 1900 park fare but decided to move that to a dinner. It's a good piece of info to file away, though. At this point Chef Mickey's is the only one I'll need a late seating for. Anybody been to the last seating at Chef Mickey's?
