Before when we would stay at the resorts we would get a letter/flyer from WDW saying something like "Great to have you coming to visit us next month". It had a bunch of things about the resort we were staying at and other WDW events that we may be interested in.

Does DVC do something like this before your trip?

Yes, every January they send us a dues statement... "Glad to have you as a member... please remit payment... Have a magical day and Welcome Home!"

In truth, we receive a confirmation when we make the reservation, and you receive a Members Perks brochure and a "newspaper" for your resort when you check in. On top of this, you get the Member Clubhouse (if you sign up for the e-mails) and quarterly Vacation Magic publications whether you have a trip scheduled or not.

No little brochure package like you get from the WDTC though. On the flip side, we still make reservations at WDW hotels from time to time, so we get the brochures then...
