Perhaps they are banning based on MAC addresses or whatever they are called. In that case, you'd have to replace the part of your computer that has the MAC address that was banned. In my case, my MAC address changed when my ethernet card was replaced. The broadband repair person was kind enough to show me how to register a new device with the cable company without having to call them. It's very easy to do.

If my computer were banned, I'd give serious thought to just using another computer as the main computer and registering that with the cable company. We have a lan set up and the router claims to have the MAC address of the computer I originally registered. I suspect it would be quite easy to switch to another computer and use it's MAC address instead.

BUT, I don't necessarily condone working around the ban. I'd pursue all of the valid ways of getting the ban reversed first. I'd definitely avoid attempting to work around the ban while I was in the process of appealing the ban. It would inhale through a straw to convince VMK to reverse the ban only to have them reinstate it because they discovered you were able to sneak into the game.

That's my free advice which is worth every penny you paid for it.

No! Nanoer! i am so sorry to hear this news!(yes, i know, i am a little late,lol) so that is why you have not been on in such a long time!

Vmk should actually put these kind of things into conciteration. If they ban ppl for no apparent reason then they are just losing costumers! there loss..
(although we all know we can't live with VMK )

On The Bright Side: people have gotten 10 yr bans and have gotten back on VMK in a few weeks! we have our fingers croosed!

Well here is a similar experience:
My house has 3 computers; my dad's, my sister's, and mine. My sister got our IP adress banned so none of us could get on VMK. I knew it was my sister's account that got banned because I asked my mother in Virginia to collect my credits and it worked. I could not have lived without VMK! My father had decided to switch from Comcast to Verizon; and we got a new IP adress. Yay! I could get back on VMK. Now I don't want you to waste money doing this (by the way Verizon is faster than Comcast) , but it worked for me, and I don't know if it'll work for you because I was not the truly banned person.

we just moved a while back and got verizon which is dsl for $15 that's a pretty good deal if you're switching in to it not out
