See the Yeti from Everest!

The Yeti is kinda scary looking, but for some reason I was expecting more...
His teeth are soooo ugly, but his eyes and nose look like a small dog I bet he'll be really scary when you see him up close while riding. Crossing my fingers for a chance at riding in early Feb!

I was also expecting white fur considering Yetis are normally depicted as being white. Oh yeah and kupperman, I love your avatar. I'm a huge Star Wars fan.

Yeti's are only depicted as being White in the minds of Americans. Those in these regions of Asis (some of which actually worship the Yeti) believe him to be this color. He is not thought (by those in these villages) to blend into the snow but rather the mountain.

It is also interesting that the people of the region believe the Yeti to be relative of the Golden Monkey.

now that I know how scary he is I hope I don't find myself keeping my eyes closed throughout the whole ride in fear of him scaring me.
I had my eyes tightly shut for a lot of the Dinosaur ride.

This may sound like a VERY stupid questions-but how close do you actually get to this thing? He is quite scary looking and I definitly think I will be terrified if I am sitting right next to him!

I got the impression that the train zooms past him really fast...or is it like in Dinosaur when the car stops right next to the big ugly mean dinosaur and then you get your pic taken?!?

Anyone know???
