See post 205 pg 14 - Pre-Podcast Cruise Breakfast - Cape May Cafe - 5/10/09

Woo hoo!

Well that's no fun...

Overindulging + podcast cruise = :thumbsup2

(duh! The whole point of a cruise!)

You.Are.Nuts.Girl.

I LOVE the eliptical!! Before I took my hiatus from the gym, I could go 45 minutes on it! Now the stair climber...that's a whole nother story...:sad2:

Treadmill, Schmeadmill...Eliptical rocks!

If I can get myself back into a rhythm, i'll be there! But i'm not taking workout tips from you. My arms would get way too big and that's not very lady-like you know...:rotfl:

I'll take it easy on you Brandie! :thumbsup2

At this point...we're planning on driving to the port. We'll do the one way rental thing...I think...

Please add me to the list for breakfast.:goodvibes
ADP- I am on the DCL transfer also. Did you change your hotel from the Dolphin to Saratoga Springs? Did you find out if they had transfers to the port from Saratoga Springs?

OK...I called the Disney Dining and they said that for groups of more than 31, I have to contact the restaurant directly. She gave me the number and I called them and left a voicemail. I guess we'll see if they actually call me back! :goodvibes

I'll keep you posted!

Thanks a bunch Brandie!!

Alright folks...here's the scoop...

I spoke directly with someone at Cape May Cafe about 2 minutes ago. She explained that the maximum number that she can put on an ADR is 50 and that the only time they could do it would be at 7:30am for a group that size. I would simply call at the 90 day mark and make a normal ADR for 50 people. No credit card to hold...we pay when we're there.

So now that I know the details a bit more clearly...who's still in? I know 7:30is early, but think of the fun we would have!!! :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo: :yay:

Could 2 people just call in ADRs for 25 for the 8:15/8:30 time slot?

or 5 people call in ADRs for 10? ;)

cheers,
:flower3:

When I called Disney Dining, they did say that they could only book up to 30 people for an ADR. I wonder if we'd be able to break it up and do that...but we might not all be seated at about the same time or in the same area...

I've never been there before so I don't know how it's laid out.

Well, I can't speak for my roommate, but I regularly book 7-something breakfasts while down there... so I wouldn't have a problem with that.

We'll still be in... I know we wont sleep much anyways (this is our first cruise, and are already anxious and ready to go!)

Um.... no. Too early. But I'll keeep reading this if somehthing changes.

:sad1:

Maybe we can try the route that klam suggested up there...a few of us calling in and making reservations that way...just in larger groups. If that doesn't work, then I can always call the restaurant directly and see if we could still get in at 7:30...

Anyone wanna volunteer to help me out with this? It would require phone calls on Feb 9th or 10th...i'd have to double check the exact 90 day mark...

I'm on the fence. I know I was a stalwart for later breakfasting, but the more I ponder the issue, I am beginning to waver in my decision. I agree with Aaron, being my first cruise and 4 years since I've been in Orlando, I will probably be up at that time anyway.

How many people have RSVP so far?

As of right now, I have a head count of 37. But that's assuming that everyone would want to do a 7:30am ADR. Jen's already said no...so that would bring us down to 35...and i'm not really counting on my brother and sis-in-law's attendance, but i'm keeping them on there until we know for sure. If they don't come then it would be 33 as of right this very moment.

7:30 would give us time to go back to the hotels, pack up and check out and still get to Port Canaveral pretty early...but I may have a harder time getting DH out of bed and to breakfast that early in the morning...especially after a night at Jellyrolls! :rotfl:

That's a bit too early for me to ask DH to get up for breakie since it'll be one of his only "sleep in days" :lmao:

I'd be happy to make ADRs for a group at say, 8:15/8:30 (breakie to 9:15/9:30, back at Dolphun 9:30/9:45, pick up bags and leave for port at 10/10:15, arriving around 11/11:15)...never done this before but seems like a reasonable check in boarding time still :confused3

Let me know if you want me to help out :goodvibes

cheers,
:flower3:

Let me pose this to my Mother. 7:30AM for me, is fine. I like being able to get back to the room, pack up the last few things and leave for the Port. Her on the other hand, not sure.

Let's see how many people sign up for this by the early part of February and we can figure out how many of us will need to call for ADR's...

I'm leaning more towards the attempt at making the 8:15-8:30am-ish multiple ADR approach at the moment. :thumbsup2

I'm back on the fence with this one. I'll let you know after I give it a little thought.
