I know this is probably a random question that most wont even care about, but if i remember correctly, the fireworks in disney go off around 9pm. And it just so happens that my flight is scheduled to arrive around that time. I know its a small window and a slim chance, but hey i can be optimistic. But has anyone ever seen any of the fireworks in WDW from the flight in or flight out of MCO? I know its a few miles away, but i know i remember seeing spaceship earth clearly from the plane so just trying to see if anyone has ever experienced it.

and on a side note, does anyone know where i can find a calendar or schedule of what times and what places have fireworks in wdw?

I don't know about seeing them from the plane, but you can see a schedule of times here http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours.htm

Yes.

Several times.

Very possible.

Really? and very clearly i would assume? i just did some research on fireworks schedule, and ill be coming in too late to see them, but when i leave i am scheduled to be taking off exactly when HS has their fireworks!!

DHS does not have "fireworks," as such (except on July 4th.)

What is presented is "Fantasmic!," a show that offers just a few (somewhat low-level) fireworks,
and they don't go off until about 25+ minutes into the show.

You certainly can see them but keep in mind you'll still be pretty high up in the air. If you are expecting to see a spectacular disply from that perspective you may be disappointed. However, if all you want is a glimpse of Wishes to gain proper perspective it'll get the job done.

We have flown directly over Epcot during the climax of IllumiNations.

Seeing all of the "countries" lit up and flashing is something to see, in itself.

I flew from San Francisco to Ft.Lauderdale about 5 years ago,the plane stopped in Los Angeles and took off around 9:15 pm,at exactly 9:29 I look outside the window and see fireworks which must have been from Disneyland.I couldn't wait to arrive home to check online what time the Disneyland fireworks started that night to assure me that's what I saw.First thing I did when I got home was check and those definitely were the fireworks as they started at 9:25pm that night.I did find it odd that they don't start at 9 or 9:30 but 9:25,but those were certainly them.

One time we were taking off and the pilot made an announcement that those on the right side of the plane could see the fireworks. Of course, I was on the left side.

Then another time as we were coming into Orlando, the pilot made an announcement that you could see a shuttle on the pad on the left side. Of course, I was on the right side. :sad1:

I've seen fireworks while flying into Orlando. Not sure where they were from but you could definitely see them.

Yes, I've seen the WDW fireworks from a landing plane before.

We saw Illuminations (fire part) as we took off from MCO going to JFK. We were sitting on the left side.

The something happened to me in April! Boo!!

I've seen Disneyland fireworks from the air before. It was cool to see but we were pretty far away so it wasn't like they were "up close".

Last time we flew down, our arrival time was something like 15-30 minutes after the very last Shuttle launch. They originally had us routed so we'd have been able to see it out the left side of the plane (sat there for that very reason). Unfortunately, they changed the course right as we got close and we ended up being unable to see it. However, the pilots had an AWESOME view of it. We only got to see the exhaust trail after the Shuttle had long since left.

Well either way, i will be scanning that horizon praying i see something. Lol. I've never flown into MCO at night so this will be a first. Even without the fireworks, I'm sure the view is still pretty awesome.

Sounds fantastic, I'm sure its all about wind strength, direction, landing paterns and such. sounds like you were very fortunate. I haven't had that many opportunities so my observations have been limited. However, every flight I'm on I strain my vision to catch a glance of magic from the skies. There's no map for that one. ;)
