Security on Harbor Blvd. Side and DLH Side

Does anyone know what time security opens on the Harbor Blvd. side, and at the end of DTD for DLH? We've got a large group for our family vacation, with some people off-site and some at DLH, and we're trying to coordinate a time to meet up at the gates so we can all get in line together. We don't want to have some people in line and then have a bunch more join in later.

An hour before park opening on DTD side. Last Friday for Disney+ Day the parks were opening at 7:30 for subscribers, and security opened at 6:30. On the weekend the parks opened at 8:00, and security opened at 7:00.

I thought someone else might have better information about the Harbor side, but since no one’s chiming in, I’ll throw this out:

When we were at DCA gates on Monday morning, it seemed like security on Harbor maybe opened at 7:15? We hadn’t been there long, with not many people at the gates, when suddenly there was a rush of people from that side of the Esplanade.

Question, to piggyback off this, is Disneyland using the new security scanners that WDW has now where they might not even check bags? They are so nice at WDW, you don't take anythign out at all, just walk through and they just pull you aside if they have reason to check anything.

Can they wand you instead of going through the metal detectors? I have a medical implant that prevents going through the scanners. At WDW I just stepped to the side and was wanded. I assumed I could do this at DL as well. I didn't realize they had different security systems.

Yes, just notify security that you need to be wanded, and they'll send you down the middle past the metal detectors. Every line has 1 or 2 security guards with wands, so it should be quick and easy.

Downtown Disney for GCH is one hour before park opening; Harbor side security is 45 minutes before.

To piggyback on this question. If security is open an hour/45minutes ahead of park opening, what time do they start letting people through the turnstiles to line up for rope drop these days?

This past weekend they let people through the turnstiles half an hour ahead of time.
