We flew out on Air Tran on Sunday night and had no trouble with the time factor. It was under ten minutes.
But I had trouble with the man running the xray machine. I had film with 800 ASA film and I had been advised to have it hand checked. Leaving from Charlotte was no problem and they did not xray it but hand checked it. At MCO I had in in my hand, separate from my carry ons and I asked politely for a hand check. The person standing there took the film and asked me to move through the arch. As I started throught the body arch thing they asked me to remove my Crocs! Another first. No security has had a problem with them before. I took them off and went barefoot through the arch. When I got to the other side I reached for my carry ons and here comes my film through the xray machine! I must have raised my voice and exclaimed my dismay! The man behind the machine said something to the effect of "Oh well! Took late now so you might as well quite crying over it!" Needless to say I was ticked and repeated that I had asked for a hand check and that I had said I did not want the film to be xrayed! The man just chuckled at me!
It will be interesting when I develop it to see it the xrays have ruined the film!
