Hey Guys,
I'm flying to Orlando on my own for the first time (I've flown out of Pearson in Toronto on my own before, but I knew it alright beforehand) in July and I wasn't entirely sure what to expect security-wise. I'm flying out of the Buffalo airport and it's been a few years since I was there last.
I am diabetic and while I know all my rights and what I can and cannot bring, I have heard reports of other diabetics encountering the new body scanners at other airports. My insulin pump, I am told, CANNOT go through one of these scanners, at least if I want it to continue pumping. This means I get some 'extra attention' if there is one at BUF. I really can't do anything to avoid it, but I would bbe greatful for some heads-up.
Thanks
