Secret Stairway

I heard that if your room is aft on the 5,6,7 or 8th deck there is a secret stairway to take you right into topsider. Do I have to look around for the staircase (hidden) or is it in plain sight? How close to the deck 7 Secret deck? Can we bring food down to our rooms?

If its the stairway Im thinking of, it's right at the aft of the ship at the point that the two hallways intersect each other. It's in plain sight, but Im guessing not many people go back there.

Yeah, if you walk towards the aft part of the ship then you should see the stairs. I really didn't know that they were secret, but I will say that they are quite convenient!
To answer your other question, I believe that you can go up to the buffet and get food to bring back to your stateroom.

We love using that stairway to run up to Topsiders and then bring a tray down to eat on our verandah.

We were midship on deck 6 and I would use the stairway. No traffic. You pick up the stairway into Beach Blanket Buffet on Deck 8. It's around the corner of the main aft stairs.
