Secret room at Cinderella's Castle

guests get the chance to stay there every blue moon its completely unscheduled and random could happen any time or place and you never know just who has the invitation very rare but if you see the light on someones there!

Look online for Disney sweepstakes. I see a night in the castle suite show up occasionally. One just ended yesterday.

Yes - there was just a "Haunt your Disney Side" contest. Part of the grand prize was a night in the castle - sometime between the end of January and the end of February.

I so wanted to enter the contest but already have a 2 week trip booked and paid for during that time period so didn't see the point.

If you had won, they would have refunded your current trip and given you the prize, or you could have moved your current trip to a future date. Having a trip booked is never a good reason to not enter for one! In fact, I can't think of a single good reason to not enter a Disney sweepstakes.

Heads up -- I forgot all about this. Kellogg's has one going right now. Buy specially marked boxes of cereal (they are called Storyboxes) and enter the code per the instructions on the box. Mail in entry also available on this one. At least on of the prizes includes a stay in the Cinderella Suite. There are three possible trip prizes and for each one there is a choice of either
Disneyland or WDW.

Tom Cruise has stayed in the suite. Katy Perry has stayed there (per her Instagram pictures).

There was going to be a suite designed for Disney and his family, as well as for higher-ups to use, but it was never completed and was turned into a call center instead. That is what was turned into the Suite as it is today, I think.

Sounds like you're right. WDWMagic said it was designed as the Disney family suite but never built until recently of course.

My husband works for a company that has a partnership with Disney as part of the Night of Joy event. Essentially, my husband runs an event, and disney chooses one of the contestants from that event to perform at Night of Joy on the main stage. The winner gets to use the castle suite as their dressing room (they don't get to stay overnight, but do get sole use of it for several hours the day of the event). A couple years ago, the winner took DH and the other workers from the company up to show them the suite. I was so jealous! From his pictures, it looked pretty amazing. I know you couldn't ride rides at night, but can you imagine being able to look out your window and see an empty Main Street? What a crazy feeling to know you and your fam were the only people in the park!

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon stay there often. It is used for make a wish. Once you are in the suite and the park closes you an not leave and wonder around. There is someone that stand by the suite in case you need anything. During the year of a million dreams when you could win it I remember reading about not being about to wonder.

For anyone interested, there are some videos on you tube people have taken when they toured it. In one, the tour guide mentioned she has let a guest out at 4:00am so they could have a smoke. I guess other then that you are confined to the suite.

Yes, the "Haunt Your Disney Side" contest ran from Oct. 6-Nov. 4 2014. You submitted a picture of Halloween Disney Parks inspired items that you made in the categories Pumpkin Carving, Costumes, Treats, or Home Decor.

The grand prize was a five day/four night vacation package for four people and included airfare, room accommodations at a WDW resort, 5 day MYW tickets with park hopper, a $500 Disney gift card, admission to a private after-hours party at the Haunted Mansion, and one night's stay at the Cinderella Castle Suite including breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table.

We were at WDW Oct 13-25 and didn't find out about the contest until after we were home and we didn't have enough time to get an entry together. :sad2:

Now my question it: do you get to go into the park when it is closed or are you on "lockdown" in the castle after it closes? I would think it's lock-down, but then why would people pay loads of money to get stuck in what amounts to one really pretty hotel room? Maybe they do it for just for one night? Maybe you get limited access to certain rides after close? There's certainly no pool to play in. If I were uber-rich, I would think Grand Floridian would be better. But that's just me if I were uber-rich.

You cannot purchase a stay in the suite. Some celebrities, special guests, and others are offered the suite, but it is mainly used for charity giveaways and sweepstakes. There is no particular price that someone can buy a night at.

I'm sure any of the Presidents could stay there if they'd like. Also, John Cougar Mellencamp.

We stayed there!!!!! October 2, 2008! Best day ever! We were chosen as part of the year of a million dreams celebration. It was beautiful! We were given dinner at CRT, a VIP guide to take us on the rides, and went to MNSSHP....we went back to the suite around 9pm, not allowed out unless you call someone to take you out, there was a number to call if you needed anything. My husband had to be at work early the next day and someone escorted him out of the MK and drove him to our car at the GF, he always says how awesome it was to be alone walking down Main Street so early in the morning. They came and got the rest of us around 8 am to take pics in front of the castle before the park opened, then we had breakfast at Crystal Palace before they drove us back to the GF. Truly a magical night. My husband thought I was nuts when I callled him at work to tell him that we won...I was crying and screaming at the same time...needless to say I was a little excited! Every time we go to the MK my son, now 7, says remember when we spent the night there, when are we gonna do that again mom? Ummmm, probably never, but we sure we're very blessed to be able to do it:)

I have added a few picture in the next post:)

My son and nephew...

THe windows in the parlor... you could barely see out, they overlook the carousel, there is one more small window next to one of the beds that you could not see out of. There were no windows looking down main street, the elevator is on that side in the front of the castle.

All tucked in:)

Thats what read on I think allears.net from some else that was picked during that promo.

They posted a few pics where pretty much they could just see down at the foot paths. The issue is that if they let you see out all the windows you could see a lot of backstage area and portions of the castle not meant to be seen.

Still trying to figure out how they pulled it off with the Sky ride (?).
