As some of you may know, there is a hotel like suite that is in Cinderella's Castle. Walt used to stay there with his family back in the day. Celebrities that visit WDW stay there as well to stay out of he public eye. BUT there are a few lucky visitors that have been able to stay there. HOW DO YOU GET TO STAY IN THAT ROOM, who do you have to get intouch with? I bet it's a lot of money to fork out, but I saw pictures of it, and it's BEAUTIFUL!

Has anyone ever been lucky enough to get a peak at it, or stay there for a night or two?

Walt died before the Magic Kingdom was finished. The planned suited in the castle was never finished. His apartment was in Disneyland.

The Cinderella Castle Suite isn't available to the general public.

Years ago, Disney had a promotion to win a night. I think there were a couple of winners. Other than the promotion, I do not believe there was/is any way to spend the night.

It would be cool.

Do we actually know if any celebrities have stayed there? I know celebrities that have stayed at resorts like the contemporary but haven't heard about the castle before.

I did read somewhere the suite was designed for Walt and his family but obvious he died before it could be used. Can anyone corroborate that?

A lot of celebrities have stayed there. Neil Patrick Harris, for examples.

Tom Cruise has stayed in the suite. Katy Perry has stayed there (per her Instagram pictures).

There was going to be a suite designed for Disney and his family, as well as for higher-ups to use, but it was never completed and was turned into a call center instead. That is what was turned into the Suite as it is today, I think.

One of the Jonas brothers stayed there with his wife for their first anniversary. I've also heard they use it for Make a Wish families. Not sure how accurate that is.

Look on the trip reports board. There is a DISer who won a contest from ABC family and got to stay in the suite. She wrote all about it.

During the year of a million dreams a family was chosen every night to stay there. Since then it has mostly been celebrities.

A few years ago (maybe 2007ish) they were allowing DVC members to take a VIP tour of the suite. You didn't get to stay there overnight, but you did get to see it. I was lucky enough to get in on one of the tours, here is a link to the photos I took. https://www.flickr.com/photos/31371052@N03/

It was amazing, and thinking back on the experience still puts a smile on my face! :)

How beautiful! Thanks for sharing :goodvibes

Now my question it: do you get to go into the park when it is closed or are you on "lockdown" in the castle after it closes? I would think it's lock-down, but then why would people pay loads of money to get stuck in what amounts to one really pretty hotel room? Maybe they do it for just for one night?

Maybe you get limited access to certain rides after close? There's certainly no pool to play in. If I were uber-rich, I would think Grand Floridian would be better.

But that's just me if I were uber-rich.

I can't imagine you would get ride access, if that was the case, they would have to have a staff there operating the rides.

Yeah, I agree. But they will have staff working for special events, like corporate parties, weddings in park, etc.

When my DH and I were looking at a wedding at MGM, they told us that we could have a reception in park at Star Tours. (We are Big Star Wars Fans. But we decided not to do that b/c it was WAY too $$) So, I guess they can have CMs at night - they do rehearsals for parades at night (that's not really the same thing, but still).

I don't know, I would think someone like TC would have enough clout to do anything he demanded. I would think he wouldn't like to be stuck in a room with his little princess without being able to take her on rides in the MK.

We got to do the tour for annual passholders in Dec.2008. So beautiful!

Somewhere that posted here was a winner and posted a trip report. I'd never be able to find it now but I have read it and seen their pictures. Maybe someone with a better memory than me can find a link to it

You are in sort of a lock down there are CM's that are your private "concierge" while you are in the suite.

During the year of a million dreams promotion, we were seated at CRT adjacent to a mother/daughter who had just been informed that they were winners. They were smiling ear to ear as they had their previously unplanned CRT lunch and were told about their night in the castle. They were getting a VIP pass (like an all access front-of-the line pass) the remainder of the regular park day and a concierge "to provide anything their heart desired when they retired" to their castle suite for the night. Sounded like they could watch any movie, request anything from room service, but would be in the castle during closed hours. Amazing!

Look online for Disney sweepstakes. I see a night in the castle suite show up occasionally. One just ended yesterday.
