Secret Keys?

Hey everyone,

Im having trouble remembering something that I remember reading a few weeks ago on a tip site, it was something about one of the rides in WDW, where you may be able to find a key and if you take it to a cast member they will give you a prize such as a fast pass. Just wandering what ride this was and if anyone else had any other info to add about it

There used to be a key under a mat in the muppets show as you walk in. I haven't seen it there in a long time.

If you go to Tom Sawyer Island in the MK and find a paint brush, if you return it to a CM you could get something....but that's the only thing that I know of that comes close to what you're saying

I saw the key under the mat in the Muppets last year. It's built into the ground so I don't think it's going anywhere, lol. But you don't get anything for finding it. Are you thinking about the paint brushes on Tom Sawyer Island? If you find one and bring it to a CM you get a FP.

There are paintbrushes on Tom Sawyer Island that you can find and turn in to a CM for a fastpass. I have never heard of any keys that you can find and turn in. The key under the mat by the Muppets is bolted down to the floor and it is part of a joke. My son has to look for it every time we go. It was still there in June of 2009.

Yep, you're confusing two things. The key under tha mat is simply there to look at. The paintbrushes are hidden around Tom Sawyer's Island early on most (but not necessarily all) mornings. There are usually several hidden - but the exact number can vary.

Ask a cast member if they have hidden them that day before you burn time looking for them. If you find one, you'll get a fastpass for your family to ride either Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Splash Mountain.
