Secret Green Club - whatever number thread

Morning limey's Thanks for posting Kat....

Sounds like a busy summer for you all, your Nags Head time sounds like a real treat. Hope you have an amazing time

Somehow I had fallen off the notifications for this thread. I got one today though (yay). We were in the MuddaLand 7/19 - 7/26, stayed at AofA. It was really cute. The fridge was nice. We loaded up on groceries from WeGoShop.com, and were able to have breakfast in the room every morning. I never used the microwave, but maybe the kids did.
The beds were very comfy, and having 2 bathrooms was a lifesaver. The decor was very cute. We've always stayed at the Dolphin, so not so used to the Disney music/decor and we really enjoyed it.
The downside is, the Dolphin is walking distance to Epcot and HS, so we had been spoiled. Waiting for the buses to/from AofA, and riding with the icy AC after sweating in the heat was less than stellar. I'm not saying that's what caused the pneumonia, but it sure didn't help. Also, we used Magical Express, and they delivered our suitcase 6 1/2 hours after we landed, and it was thoroughly soaked with mold already starting to grow on some of our things. So, I guess if we ever go back to WDW (which Brian is saying he would not want to do:worried:), we would go back to renting a car.
I didn't do a TR this time because I was sick when I got home, and still have very little energy when I get home from work, so this is my TR. Sorry it's short and crabby, but this is about all I got.
On the upside, I did some lovely:laundy: today at a barbecue. Our friend made sangria with lemonade, brandy, wine, and lots of fresh summer fruit. It was :cloud9:

so sorry to hear that your experience was not what you wanted and that you got sick... I am glad to hear you are getting better and that sangria has helped!

HHHeeellloooo!!!! Any one in the ROOMMM! Its been a moonntthhh sicce anyone posteedddd!

Wow! Busy summer much?

2 camps for Jeff, plus working at the Y almost daily, 1 camp for Krista and day camp daily, violin lessons started for Kris, high school starting for Jeff & we get to spend a week in Nags Head! I mean I live 2 hours away or so, and the kids have never been!

We got a house for a good deal and some friends are joining us, so I won't be worried about the kids being just me alone. another adult!! Yeah!

But school starts up right after we get back & I start back at the Y teaching again. Oh yeah, got 2 weeks off from there! Love it now not to happy about it at paycheck time, but thats the way it goes!

Update us on your limey summer!
Have fun in Nags Head! That sounds awesome! We have had a great summer, but sad to see the kids go back to school on Wed. They were gone so long, I feel like I didn't get much time with them this summer.

That stinks about your luggage, Danielle!!! I wonder if the issue was with the airline or Magical Express??? Either way, it stinks (and sounds like it literally stunk for you) We have fortunately never had an issue with ME...one time the airline had lost a bag, and ME tracked it down and had it delivered...much nicer than us having to wait in the airport and do it ourselves)

Glad you are finally starting to feel better, and were able to do some :laundy:!
That sounds yummy!

Thanks for the love! I was able to get some chores done this morning, walk to church, sing (for what that's worth; I figure God gave me this voice, he must be ok with it), and walk home again. It's Brian's b-day today, so I'm resting up a bit, before we head over to my brother's for a family party. Should be more :laundy: in the mix, as well as brownie ice cream sundaes!
Hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday!

Happy Birthday, Brian!!!

Hope you have fun at the party. I've been doing yucky :laundy: and getting last minute back to school stuff today. I need a bubble bath and some fun:laundy:, but it's not really on my diet. I need to go check out those skinny girl margaritas and see if they really are low-cal.

The mix is low-cal, but the alcohol doesn't change. Some of the brands are nasty. The one they have at Applebee's tastes like someone dropped a band-aid in your drink:crazy2:

Yummm...I've always wanted a drink with a band-aid in it.:crazy2: I guess the fact that that would make me lose my lunch would help me lose a few pounds, but I think I'll pass on that one.

Schools have been cancelled here for tomorrow. Yucky laundry is done. now on to the fun stuff. Wish I had some decaf coffee to mix with Bailey's.

schools are closed here too, and all federal offices in DC are closed tomorrow...

Sending prayers and wishes for all of my friends to be safe with minimal damage.

thanks I will take all the prayers we can get...

David keeps thinking it is a cry wolf situation... (I can only hope he is right)

Kids did get a few days off from school becuase of the power outages (Well Kyle got out early and missed a day and Meg at college in NH missed 2 full days) now everything is back up and running.. we were lucky and didn't lose power (thankfully - I really am loveing living in the moblie home park)

I am planning a trip for me and Hubs to go to the Food and Wine Festival next fall (10/26 - 11/3 2013) to celebrate our 5 year anniversary (we'll be about a month early but that is ok) No kids - so we can fully enjoy :laundy: Epcots offerings.. LOL..
