Hope everyone has a good weekend. Our old parish has a festival this weekend. If we can muster the energy, we'll go dancing there tomorrow. Tonight we're both worn out. Brian's already asleep, and it's not even 7 p.m. yet.

I just made reservations at the Anaheim Plaza for 11/20-23. We're taking our kids and their significant others. I didn't think they'd go for it, but they did!Yahooty!

It is looking a little better on this end...MY BOOT IS OFF!!! I have a soft brace that I can wear with a regular shoe. It feels SO much better. Even walking down stairs doesn't hurt!

Brian gave up on his boot and got the New Balance shoes that are made for Plantar Fascitis. He also had his first Physical Therapy appt yesterday, and it went well. She said the boot was NOT what he needed, that the shoes are better. Most of the exercises she showed him are things he can do at home. He was able to walk a little better this morning. He got me all excited with his post om my FB, but I am trying not to get TOO excited....too many other people are sick right now, so we are def. in a holding pattern. Still, today is MUCH better than yesterday!!!

Just noticed how close you are getting to your trip!

It is looking a little better on this end...MY BOOT IS OFF!!! I have a soft brace that I can wear with a regular shoe. It feels SO much better. Even walking down stairs doesn't hurt!

Brian gave up on his boot and got the New Balance shoes that are made for Plantar Fascitis. He also had his first Physical Therapy appt yesterday, and it went well. She said the boot was NOT what he needed, that the shoes are better. Most of the exercises she showed him are things he can do at home. He was able to walk a little better this morning. I have been on my foot a lot during this trip and I am hurting but hoping to make it to December...

please let me know how the shoes work for Brian, I might be interested in getting a pair...

So far, it is like night and day. He just got them on Friday, so I will keep you posted. They were expensive ($200) but that is nothing compared to the cost he would be looking at if he needed surgery, another boot, etc....and when you are in the kind of pain you guys are, the cost is nothing. Definately go to an actual New Balance store though, the ones in department and shoe stores are usually NOT the same ones. The guy that sold Brian his was great...took time to have him show him where the pain was worst, what felt good, what didn't, etc. He said that he can probably "graduate" to a pair of regular New Balance in the future, but for now, this is what he needs. I'll keep you posted on how he feels over time.
