We've been several times.. Staying just a couple days at HRH just for the FOTL access.. Then switching.. We love it there. You get in an hour early to HP if you stay onsite!

Did they get the lower floor done to the Disney Store yet? Wasn't impressed.

Considering staying onsite for the early am access, but I also read if you return to the park closer to closing than getting into HP is a lot easier. Of course this whole theory could be a bust in the summertime! Kind of want to stay in Disney; will have a car to get to Universal for the 2 days we plan to go. Will you be switching over to a Disney resort afterwards?

Re the NYC Disney store - not as nice as the 5th avenue World of Disney store that closed a few years back (that had 4 floors if I remember right). I just love looking at what each store has to offer -- figured they would have some special NYC/Mickey stuff. The girls were real tired so we didn't stay that long. We hit this towards the end of the day.

Oh, and you asked about the lower floor - we went into the store on the main and second floors. If there is a lower level, I didn't know to look!

T: I see by your ticker you are going to Universal. Have you gone before? Was considering trying to go there this summer - can't even imagine how it is to get into HP. Are you staying onsite?

I took my DD (Samantha) and her friend to NYC on Saturday to go to the Harry Potter Exhibition at the Discovery Times Square museum. The girls and I had a great time! No pix were allowed unfortunately. We walked everywhere, visited FAO Schwarz, the Hershey Store, the Disney store (was thinking of you all - esp. you Heather!!!) Had lunch at the Stardust Diner - the waitstaff serves and sings too. Long day, but lots of fun.

I made "grownup chocolate milk" and also put some into a McDonald's caramel frappe. that was good. I found several chocolate martini and coffee martini recipes, but that is just too much alcohol for me. Come on over and help me taste test!

Glad you all had fun in NYC! Sounds cool!

We are doing a non disney trip this time. I was just there in May and we are going back in October and then in April.. So its a universal trip.

When we were at the New disney store the first floor was not open. You walked in and could only go upstairs. I agree I like the old one better..
