Secret Green Club - whatever number thread

Well it is Tuesday night. My son graduates in 2 night and my daughter graduates in 3 nights. I am so ready to get to WDW. :woohoo:

Congrats on your 2 grads! Have a great time celebrating in Disney and in meeting up with your "Limeys". In the spirit of this thread, have a :laundy: or two for me :goodvibes Safe travels!

Heather: So glad you booked airfare when you did. I did take a peek at the SW site today, just for the heck of it. Have to do some creative planning to get pp $115 each way. Are you leaving Friday nite??

Hope everyone that is going this week/weekend has a fabulous time!

We are actually leaving @ 7:05 Friday morning....will be in Orlando @ 9:30.:cool1: Debated waiting for the 8:30 am departure, but we all know I won't sleep the night before anyway...may as well just get there and then sleep by the pool!:rotfl:

I'm with you on that, Heather. I like early flights TO Orlando, not so crazy about early flights home.

My baby "graduated" from 5th grade, so is now a big bad middle schooler as of last night. They had a nice ceremony for the kids. Rick posted a few pics on facebook last night, I think.

We have been tormenting Catie about her surprise... as its her birthday she knows one is coming and we've now told her we are going to go "pick it up" on Sunday morning and that Grandma is coming with so she can see Catie's surprised face. She still has NO idea that it is this trip, though I can't imagine how, we've come so close to giving it away, including Rick posting about seeing T in a few days on facebook (she doesn't have facebook, but logs in on my account to play games, etc). She asks things like is it big, small, or in the middle (in the middle), what shape is it (kinda oval), does it have available accessories (yes), what color is it (rainbow/multi colored)... we are so mean...

That's EVEN better!! Wow, didn't realize that you leave that early (you probably told me when we were drinking our sangria:)). I don't sleep the night before either, you know me with the whole flying issue. So, the earlier the better - if I stay up all night, I can then doze on the plane with my Ipod.

Getting to DW early, sleeping by the pool -- it's all good:thumbsup2

I'm loving the surprise trip idea! I've thought about doing something like that for my DD (Samantha) as she's turning 13 in June. She wants to go to Universal to see Harry Potter. I’m debating trying to plan a “surprise” trip in the summer or early fall (and bring one of her best buds who is also a big HP fan). I don’t know if I could ever pull it off though! And, being so close to Disney, I would want to visit WDW. So, what to do, what to do.

We depart at 6:20 and arrive at 8:30Am then coming back we leave at 7:40 and arrive at 9:55 PM

Had to have another day in there....

I may be "mean" but it is funny, I hope you all are able to get photos, I think it will be great!

Congrats to the new 6th grader! I can't wait to see the pictures when you tell Catie! She is gonna be so suprised!

Actually, you didn't dring THAT much sangria....I didn't book them until after that...just booked last week.:rotfl::laundy: BTW....that reminds me...Kristi said the Sangria at Kouzzina is really good AND cheap, by Disney standards...gotta put that on the list.:thumbsup2

Yep...we "sleep" at my In-laws the night before, and they drop us off at the airport. It is impossible to sleep there, so leaving early just makes sense to me. When we come home, we leave MCO at 6:40 and get home at ( something...a little late, but we have a long weekend to recover.

So hopefully you guys can help me with some travel times and directions....

I want to go to DTD and get my new D&B 40th anniversary bag, and David is getting one of the hand made Baseball bats, we want to do this the first day and get it over with so we don't have to arrange another time to get there.

we have a late lunch reservation at 2:00 PM at the Coral Reef. So I was wondering what is the best return route from DTD to BWV so I don't waste a huge amount of time on the buses?

Oh, yeah, Rick is planning on actually recording in video and posting it, so we should be good to go. I need to get with T, we were gonna record a message so she can "tell" Catie when we get to the airport...

Janet, you should totally do it, I can't believe how much fun it has been keeping the secret. And now that we will be in FL so there won't be airfare I am TOTALLY gonna plan a surprise for Meag's birthday next year.

And the sangria I had is the BREAKFAST white sangria at Kouzzina's at $7 per glass or $25 per pitcher. It is DELICIOUS!

Brandi, this is a tricky one, especially cause the bus service to/from DTD is notorious for being bad. I think I would be very tempted to take a taxi in this one situation. That or take the boat to POFQ, then grab a bus there to Epcot or HS. But not sure it would gain a lot of time there.

That pitcher of Sangria is on my list also!

That is what I was afraid of....

How late is DTD open?

They have handmade baseball bats??? Chris would go CRAZY over that. Where can I find those???

Ok...I'm confused:confused3 (What else is new?):rolleyes1 I am totally on board with the cab..I hate bus service to DTD. But why not just take the bus from DTD to BWV if that is where you are headed? Or are you heading to Epcot, Brandi? If so, definately just do a cab. If you see a POR or POFQ boat there, I'd hop on it, but waiting for the boat, then waiting for the park bus could add a lot of time.

Oh, good, that I didn't miss anything :lmao: I guess I just wanted to drink more.

Would love to do a 2day/4 day deal, but if I go in the fall, it would be over a long weekend, as I can't have them miss too much school. Plus, I would be paying for the friend, so it gets a little costly. So, the fall would mean we could go one day to the Halloween party!. I fear that Universal will be mobbed in the summer.

that's what I'm thinking too! The surprise would be a first for me. Lucky you to be moving to FL to be so close to the Mouse!. AND you all can get the FL season passes.:cool1:

And the sangria would be a perfect reason for me to try Kouzzina's!

Tucked in a corner inside the Team Mickey Store, you’ll find a Rawlings shop. Here, a craftsman will create your one-of-a-kind bat while you watch.

After your bat has been created, you can have your name, signature, and/or your amateur team’s logo laser-engraved into the wood.

I just need to get to Coral Reef which is in EPCOT right?
I am confusing myself. I will be at DTD picking up the bag and bat and then heading to late lunch at Coral Reef.

Yeah we will have pics and/or video posted.....:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 And while my wife will have her Sangria, I will have help when it comes to hitting EPCOT @ the tequila place in Mexico.....:laundy:

I could use some sangria right about now!:laundy:
The Halloween party would be fun!

That sounds so cool! Chris would love that!

Ok...DTD to Epcot makes more sense...the BWV in there confused me. I'd either take a cab or hop on the first resort bus to pull up, go there and transfer to an EPCOT bus.
Yeah we will have pics and/or video posted.....:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 And while my wife will have her Sangria, I will have help when it comes to hitting EPCOT @ the tequila place in Mexico.....:laundy:

Not me, ick, no tequila for me! But I'm sure I can find SOMETHING to drink nearby...

Grey Goose Slushie
Prosecco
Frozen Margarita (Tequila, but I can tolerate it frozen :teeth:
Need I go on????:laundy:
