Secret Green Club - whatever number thread

:thumbsup2

I am so excited for you!!!

Our event went great. All the kids had a blast! Most of the older ones stayed all day....would watch other teams in the homerun derby, play some games, eat, play a pickup game, eat, watch more teams, repeat....:thumbsup2 The little ones were having a blast too with all the carnival games. It was a great day, the final numbers aren't in yet, but it seems to have been a very successful fundraiser. This was the first year that we tried this, but it was a big success, and we are already planning on making it bigger and better for next year. The only thing is that it was pretty chilly...I think more people would have stayed longer had it been warmer. And the poor coaches in the dunk tank:scared1:....reminded me of a certain Seinfeld episode.

And Yes, I have Kellyitis:headache:

But today will be my ADR day:woohoo: Even though I have a feeling we will be eating cup O noodles and PB&J, I am making ADR's in case we win the lottery, or they have a free dining promo. better safe than sorry. Dream big.:yay:

If you are dreaming, dream big, please include B&D in the trip and taking us to dinner with you.

We might win if we played but we forget to buy tickets. :(

So where are you going to get ADRs?

I know you said 50's PTC and Kona cafe; so I am not totally loosing my mind, but have you decided on anywhere else?

I always want to try new places, but I need someone I know to rate it for me, I never trust the restaurant boards...

I made Le Cellier for lunch and Chef Mickey's for dinner, but need to call to do the rest of the days.

Have any of you Peeps tried Yak & Yeti? The menu there looks pretty good to me. Is it worth the cost, or should we just do the CS there?

I need to see if park hours are out for Nov. I have NEVER seen Fantasmic, and want to make sure we catch that this time.

I can't believe it, but I have never tried Yak & Yeti OR Flame Tree! We always end up doing the Donald's Safari bfast, and then in 07 we did the McD's that was still in Restaurantasaurus, this past time, I think we went to Boma for a late lunch that day. I've also never managed Fantasmic, but I figure I'm bound to eventually, right?

I have never seen fantasmic either....

and I have never eaten at Yak & Yeti either.

This is the first year the we have really branched out with our ADRs so I hope to give you a full report when we get back, Maybe if I am not too tired in the evenings I can give you a report but lets not push it.... :rotfl:

My Flights are BOOKED!!!! I got Air Tran for $89 each way!!!! I had to change my dates by 2 days and am now going down on the 18th and home on the 24th, but I AM GOING TO DISNEY!!!!:yay::yay::dance3::yay::yay::dance3::dance3::grouphug::grouphug::laundy:

Yeah :dance3:! Now, if only we can go too!

We are headed to Pocono Valley resort this weekend for our Girl Scout Camporee.... I'm told this is the Cadillac of camping... so no wet tents for us either!!! :cool1:

Have a great weekend all!!! Oh... ya'll will be proud.... I'm using WDW soaps and shampoos... Now I Guess I better go pack our ponchos (WDW ones of course)

Hope you had a great time! We had our WDW shampoos too! (and our ponchos - I knew it wouldn't rain if I carried them all day :goodvibes).

2 almost givens are 50's PTC and Kona cafe.

Other than that I'm not sure. I'm in a Pickle for Thanksgiving...I am shooting for lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, but so is everyone else, I'm sure. I really want something in a park as we leave that day, so don't want to blow the day travelling from resort to resort. I was gonna do Boatwright's and make the whole day a resort/pool day, but they don't open till 5, and we will prob get ME back to the airport around 4.

Heather - I laughed when I read this!!

I wound up with:
Boatwrights for Dinner the 1st night
Le Cellier for lunch (hello cheddar soup!!!)
50's Prime time for Lunch (fantasmic day as of now)
Yak & Yeti Lunch
Crystal Palace Bfast & Chef Mickey's Dinner (same day....may drop one)
Akershus(Sp?) Dinner...was gonna do Cape May Clambake but Martina has decided she wants the princesses. Last week princesses were for babies.:confused3
Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch on Thanksgiving. Thinking I might be insane here, as I know MK will be MOBBED. But if we do a resort lunch, then we literally spend all day travelling, as this is our departure day. At least this way we can get in some park time, even if we battle crowds.

I knew you would catch that! (Janet and I met on a thread where someone was in a pickle over what resort to stay in)

Great choices! I want to try Y&Y eventually; it's hard as I love Flame Tree so much. I've been to Fanasmic a few times and it's a good show. Sometimes it can be a little frightening for the younger kids.

And Martina will probably change her mind a few times before the trip

Keep dreaming for a windfall or FD! I'm hoping with ya! :goodvibes

Well, Heather, if the windfall doesn't come through, you can have Thanksgiving with me, I'm sure we can figure that one out!

Sounds like you have a well rounded dinning plan.
Hopefully the windfall comes in for you.

:lmao: My Martina change her mind??? NEVER:rolleyes1 She broke my heart last night when she said she wanted to eat in the castle. We took her there on her very first trip when she was 2, but she was too little to remember.:sad1: I can't see doing it right now, as the menu there doesn't do anything for me.

I have never eaten at any of the TS places in AK, and haven't even been there since 2005, so they were all new to me. Flame tree looked good to me too, but I felt like the Yak & Yeti menu was something we couldn't get as easily around here.
Well, Heather, if the windfall doesn't come through, you can have Thanksgiving with me, I'm sure we can figure that one out!
Thanks! And if the windfall is really big, you all can come over and have Thanksgiving with us!:thumbsup2

Thanks!
Fingers are crossed! It feels good to have it all planned (even though we all know I will change it a hundred times) I am already thinking of swapping Sunday and Tuesday, as those are the 2 nights Fantasmic is showing...I want to see F!, but also don't want to make the kids wait till Tues to do MK.

Brian was in the dunk tank yesterday at his former school. I'll have to ask him if he had the same experience as George.

LOL on the princesses. My kids still pull that mind-changing stuff on me. And Liberty Tree sounds great for TG lunch. Even crowded park time is still fun if you have the right attitude.

I agree.... Just try and enjoy every minute and it will all work out and be fun!

Well T is on her way.....

Looking forward to getting out of here and getting back "home"

Have a great time all the lucky peeps heading off to the world this week/end!!!!!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I agree, it is all about attitude. I figured we'd be battling crowds no matter what...even to get to another resort to eat, we'd be battling crowds on the busses to get there..mas as well just go to a park at that point.

I made the right move with my airfare....Southwest fares came out today, and it is $250 more that what I paid on Airtran. (and I have nonstop, while the SW has a connection) Even though we have to pay for bags, we will come out ahead.
