Kelly, Susan Wiggs are traditional romance, but she has the Lakeshore series (I think that's right), and there are a bunch of them, they all follow the folks from this small town. I always like series where you can follow the lives of the characters throughout the books, you know? I absolutely hate horror, don't read any of it, but actually I have read almost all the major vampirey books now (love that word, Kel), Anne Rice-Twilight with pretty much everything in between. I really like the ones that are more romance books vs the ones that are more suspense type. Nora Roberts had one with a vampire a couple years ago, it was a little out there, but it was pretty good, I thought. But like I much prefer the Twilight or the Argeneaus to the Interview with a Vampire (Anne Rice) types.

I like the romance series too...have read a few Susan Wiggs, need to get some more. I just got my Kingdom Keepers 4 yesterday, so that is my current title. (Yes, I am a TOTAL Disney Dork, but I'm sure that is no suprise to my PEEPS!)

Mary, hope you hear good news today!

Nothing yet. They did give us an 800# to call Monday if we haven't heard anything before then. I am non-essential so I will be off. Not sure if we will get paid or not. Don't think so. I will get paid on schedule next Friday not sure after that. Personnel did create a letter that we can send to our creditors should we get furloughed. We'll see what happens. I may end up going to college with my ds next week as his notetaker.

I love Anne Rule books. Mostly I love romance books because they are so quick and easy to read. I just downloaded 15 books last night. The total for all was $19.51 --- awesome. I don't like the vampire/paranormal ones.

We left for Cedar Rapids yesterday as soon as I got home from work, through a drive thru for supper on the road. Its 252 miles from my house to the hotel, we made it in 3 hours 45 minutes, so I didn't do TOO bad for time. Last night when we got in, a little before 10, we got everything into the room, and of course the kids HAD to swim in the pool before anything else. LOL So we went down for about an hour or so to the pool/hot tub. Then came up and headed to bed, was about midnight by the time we got everyone settled in, and I crashed.

T, they have bunches of brochures on area attractions, so I'll be grabbing copies of them for Nick. The Amana colonies are right near here, and I know I saw stuff for them. That wouldn't be anything different for the PA folks, you have the PA Dutch, same thing. But its kinda cool to check out their way of life, etc. I have a lot of respect for the way they live, but don't think I could handle it.

Now time to get the family up and about, hopefully we can get ready soon enough to get to the breakfast that is included with the room!

Kristi....I have the first book of that series by Susan Wiggs....I must have gotten it free a month or so ago.... somehow it got buried and I never read it. so now I have a new book to start later course I also saw there are 8 in the series....
