Hi all, so this is completely speculation. But I will be visiting WDW over spring break with my honor's communication class; we have been required to research different aspects of WDW in order to do a case study while on property.

During one of my research quests I came across a piece of information that said in Mainstreet USA there is a secret door that opens up to a room with an elevator in it. There is also a ticket counter that requires some sort of admission password to use the elevator. Anyway, the elevator leads upstairs to a bar area that is presumably for the "Elite" of Disney. I don't know how much of this is true, but I thought this would be a neat thing to check out and see if anyone else has heard anything about it. What have you guys heard?

This sounds like Club 33 in DisneyLand in California. It is a private club, very exclusive, very expensive to become a member. It was one of Walt Disney's last ideas for an addition to DisneyLand. He did not live to see it completed. There is no equivalent at the Magic Kingdom in Florida.

That sounds more like CLub 33 in Disneyland. It is a members-only private restaurant for what Walt called the "elite". There is a plain door in New Orleans Square (?), and you need a passcode to get in.

No bars, secret or otherwise, in the MK- it is the only "dry" park on WDW property. No alcohol served or allowed.

the story would have fallen apart immediately if you would have remembered that the magic kingdom in wdw is alcohol free.

Definitely sounds like they meant Club 33 to me, too. As others have said, it's in Disneyland, but in New Orleans Square, not on Main Street USA. And Disneyland also doesn't serve alcohol except inside Club 33.

Except when I'm wrong. Which occurs every so often. Then I turn into Homer Simpson, say "D'oh!" and admit I was wrong.
