This will be our second cruise. We are not huge eaters but on our first cruise on Carnival this past summer, my DH was able to get a second appetizer or extra parts of main entree if desired. We were with 20 other family members and on lobster night, my nephew were able to order 1or 2 extra tails if they wanted. Or some got an extra dessert. What is Disney's protocol? :)

Our servers on both our 3 and 7 day cruises brought us whatever we wanted and as much as we wanted. My 12yo DD had 2 lobster dinners that night. I've never seen them balk at bringing more food.

I think this is pretty much the standard on all major cruise lines.

Anything you want, as much as you want. Want to try 3 different desserts--fine. 2 entrees--go for it. On one cruise we had a standing dessert order--one of each thing for the table....then if we wanted something more for one person, he/she would order it.

Thanks for your feedback. I figured as much, but I did not see much talk about eating a more.

On our last cruise, I coveted my husband's potato croquet that came with his entree. Our server, Rodel, proceeded to bring out 4 for me. Mmmm... they were yummy!

On the Magic last month, each time our server, Genesis, took orders from my DH and Dson-i-l, he would automatically tell them "double". On Friday night, the celebration cake is my favorite dessert and when Genesis took my dessert order, I told him "double". And he did!

Hold on, back up the truck! lol

So, if, let's say, some rotund gentleman was going on a cruise in, let's say 8 days, and he wanted to order, for the sake of argument, 2 bacon wrapped filet mignon's in triton's, he would be able to do so?

Hypothetically speaking, of course. ;)

I would say YES. During our dinner at Lumiers DH couldn't decide between the lamb or the duck, so our waiter brought him both, the complete meals, not just the "meat"

Hypothetically, said "fluffy" gentleman could order three or four bacon-wrapped filets. And wash them down with a couple of desserts. :grouphug:

(But a PP was correct in that the server will usually bring the "whole" composed plate because that's how the kitchen prepares them for service. They grab & go.)

PS - I just noted that the aforementioned "round" gentleman shows in his "name" area that he has a "Body by Mickey Bars."

Please amend the previous statement to indicate that not only can you have several filets, you can wash them down with Mickey Bars :mickeybar With or without sprinkles. And it doesn't matter if you are over the age of 9. (the ONLY time on Disney when it doesn't matter if you are over the age of 9 :rotfl:)

I've heard that over and over.
BUT, on our recent cruise (our 1st), we wouldn't have tried it even if we wanted too, because it took so long for each course. I loved our server. And the food was great. But the time it took for dinner WOW 8:15 to 9:45-10
some nights we sat endlessly waiting for the next course.
And our cruise wasn't crowded at all, we were almost always the last couple of tables to leave. (Our servers had the table next to ours too.)
Maybe there's more to it than I know.
I wouldn't hold it against them, like I said they were great.
The only thing I asked for that I couldnt get was on the last night, I had waited all week hoping I would get a chance to order a crab dip that my hubby had the 1st night. I didn't realize the menu changed every night.
The Manager said he could request it from another diningroom but it would take about an hour. At this point I knew our dinners took long enough, I just let it go. Maybe I'll get to go on another cruise one day. I won't forget to order it then!:goodvibes

yes order all you want. on my last dcl cruise. the first night the waiter brings out my main meal and i said this is it you got to be kidding me. so of course he brings me out another one. than everyday for the entire 15 night cruise when i ordered my main meal he made it double. order all the appetizers you want main meal desserts etc.

On one Disney Cruise my mom asked the server "I can't decide which dessert to order, what do you recommend?" and he said "OK"

He brought her ALL the desserts! (one of each) lol :scared1:

LOL I am glad we have the main dinner seating on our cruise so we have a fighting chance at food before you get to it all :lmao:

On my June cruise, my daughter and her friend LOVED the swordfish on the 3rd night. They asked for it again on the next night but our server said it was not available - the next night the server had swordfish made special for the girls!
