Second week of November so busy?

I booked my trip before all of this Covid thing, and I was so sure I picked the right week. Second week of November. But now that it's all gone out the window, I checked the park reservation availability and the second week looks busier. Anybody know why? Should I move it to week before maybe?

Possibly because Veteran’s Day falls during this week. Many schools and government type jobs get the day off. I speculate that people piggyback the day off with the preceding or following weekend. Columbus Day week also attracts more traffic due to the extra day off for people.

Jersey week is the 1st week of Nov this year. Teacher's convention was supposed to be 11/5-11/6.

With the current situation there is not going to be a 'slow" period for the parks. We are here right now. Writing this in line for BTM. 65 min wait and the line started at the shooting gallery. Disney Springs closed to capacity last nite. we were there. Enjoy your trip, you can just know you will be standing in line. Its still all good.

Thank you for this information. We are there next month November 10-15 for our 30th anniversary with two other couples amd staying at SSR for the sole reason to walk back/forth to DTD each night since our focus is eating and drinking at night lol

Most of our dinners are at DTD and not sure what we will do if we walk over and cannot get in. This is stressing me out lol

A server told us that if you dinner reservations they will let you in. It must be a phased closure like the parks. I can tell you that DS was really really busy, but it was still fun. Of course a shipwreck at the Boathouse makes a lot of things fun.

Thanks. That makes me feel a little better.
We have The Edison, Boathouse, Wine Bar George, Wolfgang Puck (that was one of the other couples request lol) and a dinner in the private room at Topolinos. That is our only dinner not at DTD so I really appreciate your letting me know what a CM said. Hope they were correct lol

Just talked to an emotes at the Boathouse and they said the same thing about if you have reservations. They are packed here again tonight at DS. Writing this from the Boathouse while having a Shipwreck and my wife having an Old Fashion waiting on oysters. Not saying this to make you jealous, just building the anticipation. Enjoy your trip!

I would guess that many that would normally go from NJ are not able to quarantine the two weeks after, and have cancelled their trips. We had reservations at Disney Hilton Head and will have to cancel as SC is also on the list.

That sounds fabulous! I shall be doing the same next month! Thank you.

What day did you go to DS? We have a Wednesday planned there.

Quarantining is recommended, not required - this is the state level. You could have an employer that would require it, but the state of NJ does not require you to quarantine, just recommends it.

Our schools student health screening form includes, "In the past 2 weeks, has your child traveled from a state or country outside NJ that has a travel advisory requiring quarantine?", If they have, kids are required to stay home. They also may be required to go full virtual if they miss too many days in person. Donna

I work in a school in NJ and we fill out the same type of screening form every day. If we have traveled someplace where quarantining is suggested on return, they require us to stay home for two weeks and use our vacation or sick time.

I really didn't want to, but I rescheduled my Jersey week reservation to Easter week. I hope we still don't have to quarantine in April!
