Second Day Park MK or AKL?

Our family (DW, DD3, DD2, & Me) will be using our DVC points to stay at AKL from May 17-May 21 of 2016. We decided to buy park passes for two days (non-hopper), and spend time outside the parks the other days. The first day park visit will be at MK, and we thought of going to AK for the second day.

We'll do rope drop at MK, and hopefully get through most of the attractions the girls will ride by lunch time. Then we will likely head back to our resort for some down time. Finally, we will try to get back to MK for parades and fireworks (maybe some rides).

The second day we can head back to MK to catch rides we missed and re-ride the ones the girls enjoy most, or we can go to AKL to do something different. The girls are big fans of Finding Nemo, and are all around fans of any animals.

What would you do?

Given they are fans of Finding Nemo and animals, AK makes more sense, you could probably get most of it done in the morning then just rest and relax at the resort the rest of the day. It's debatable whether the ROL will be up and running by then so there would be no going back to the park after everyone had rested.

I would do AK, since they are finally gonna have some new stuff open by May, making it a "more worth it" day than it currently is - you should be able to see the Rivers of Light night show and take a nighttime safari by May...and if your kids love animals, it is a great park to entertain them...

We always go for a week and do 2 days at MK but since you're only going for 2 days, I would do another park. There's no way you're going to get through everything at MK in 1 day but I think it's good to go experience another park though. Have fun!

Your title and poll references AKL which would be Animal Kingdom Lodge. I think you are referring to the park, but the lodge offers animals as well. If you are asking about the park, this is another vote to visit AK.

I would do Animal Kingdom. I wouldn't want to use my only 2 park days on the same park

As DCV members you will likely go back many times. I would give the kids a taste of each park and leave them looking forward to more later!
