Hey, all! My youngest's second birthday will be on the second day of our cruise. Other than then room decoration package and magnets, do you know what else can be done? Since we are going to be there, I'd love to make this special.

Thanks!!

You can pick up a "It's my birthday" button at Guest Services.

If you mention on your reservation that you are celebrating a birthday onboard, your head server should contact you about what night you want to do that. They also give out the birthday button at the dinner salute (servers sing Happy Birthday and the honoree gets a small chocolate mousse-type cake for dessert), but I think it's better to pick one up in the morning, that way all the CMs will be wishing your youngest "happy birthday" all day.

Cool! That sounds like fun. I have another question: Has anyone done the decorations? Are they worth the $?

We've rarely found any of those things "worth it" but if you don't want to bring your own stuff then it just might be. We've always just packed our own items since things like that don't take up much room in the suitcase.

Sure. We ordered the Jake stuff from Party City and decorated inside our stateroom and our door for our little ones 2nd bday a few weeks ago. Just remember to bring stuff to put it up with.

Their policy states no adhesive products. Most of the decorations we had for inside the stateroom had little hooks on them and we found lots of places to hook things. We did use regular scotch tape on the back of some things on the door and magnets on others. We've never seen plain tape cause an issue but they had problem with people using stronger adhesives and it staying on the door.

I purchased the "Very Merrytime" decorations for my family i think it was about $55. I wouldn't purchase them again even though I used them in my home for Christmas that year as well. Just because all of the items were not of the best quality the bed runner tore within a week and the banner of course didn't last long, but the magnet is still on my fridge, my DS loves it. :bitelip:

Then I guess I'd rather they do that or not do it at all. I thought it was cute. but SO expensive.

Sorry, I don't understand. Why do you feel "stupid"? I'm sorry if I've said anything to make you feel that way.
Oh no! You did nothing wrong. I meant the messages I left on a profile, when I meant to send a conversation. lol I should know how to do this, but I'm making silly mistakes.

Had to open this because of the title. When we emigrated from Scotland to Canada, I had my 2nd birthday on the ship. Of course I don't remember most of it but a few things - I fell down the stairs I remember that LOL but also they made me a cake shaped like a huge strawberry and it was very pink. That's all I remember. There's no pics though.

I do hope that my youngest doesn't fall down the stairs. lol That's such a sad memory to have. But the cake sounds amazing!
