That's why I did buy there; after staying at the hotel I knew that when we go to DL I'll always want to stay at the grand, and with VGC ownership I can (more or less ) afford to! I generally travel at off-peak times and book at 11 months to the day, so hopefully I won't have problems with it, but I was afraid 7 months might be a near impossibility once fully sold...

Same for me. I knew there would be no getting in at 7 months, however I have had some surprising luck getting in with the waitlist in the last month, however they have been short little stays. If we didn't own at the VGC, I'd still be driving in every time that we went to DLR. That's not nearly as fun as waking up outside the theme park!

We live in southern California and go to Disneyland often. We didn't purchase an add on there because there are so many great hotels within walking distance of Disneyland. As much as I love the Grand Californian, the point cost is too high and I can stay at the Hilton across the street for $46 through Priceline. We save our points for WDW.
