Planning a trip to Disney world in April with my boys (ages 5 and 3) for 6 days. Planning to do at least 3 days in the parks. I was thinking magic kingdom, animal kingdom and epcot.

I would also LOVE to so Seaworld! Is it worth it? Any tips?

I enjoy Sea World and I'd say it's worth a trip if you have the time

It's a great park for their age. My brother and his family went at least once a year while his kids were young, stayed by it and would go several days. I've been a few times in the last couple years and find it a relaxing park compared to Disney.

Thoughts:
- More spread out so have a stroller for them
- Food there is a good value
- The kids area is not obvious when you enter since it's over past Shamu area but great fun
- Go early and sometimes you have the park to yourself for half the day

I would go if you have plenty of downtime. I wouldn't give up a day at Disney or Universal to go to Sea World.

We have the FL Busch Gardens/Sea World AP..and I enjoy SW for their roller coasters primarily. They have some good animal exhibits, but imo it's really a half day park. When we go we usually stay for about 4-5 hours.

If you want to see orca/dolphins go see them in the wild.

The orca at SeaWorld look like taxidermy with a heartbeat.

It's definitely worth it! I go to SeaWorld every week and love it there

I think it is worth it. It is a very nice park. When we were doing our 6-7 day visits we would visit Seaward at least every other trip. Like CAS239 for us adults not into roller coasters it was a 1/2 day park. We would see a couple of the big shows and wander through the exhibits.

As HopperFan notes, get there at opening and the park will be relatively quiet for the first few hours.

SeaWorld and the Magic Kingdom would be my top to choices to go with little ones your boys ages. Actually those two are my favorites for any age. SeaWorld, though, is a fantastic day IMHO with the three and five year old. Don't miss the Shamu's Happy Harbor for some down time, run around time with them -- great for little boys.

Be sure to see pets ahoy. Touch the sting rays. Check out the Sharks.

There are things there your kids may never get to do again.

We have been going since my son was five. He is now thirty. We go for three days. I am lucky like the that.

Definitely worth it! We go to Seaworld on every Disney vacation. It is one of my kid's favorites for sure. My daughter gained a love of manatees from visiting Seaworld on her first trip there when she was 3. She carried around her beloved manatee stuffed animal for years! Plus it gives you a break from all the hustle and bustle and waiting in a lot of lines that you get at Disney. Love Disney but we need a break from that. Even more so when you have small kids.

Honestly if you only have 6 days in Orlando I would add a few more days at WDW. It will cost you less than buying one day park tickets to another park. There is no way I would only do one day at MK with kids that age. You will need at least two days and you probably will still not see everything they want to do/see. EPCOT is huge and really you need two days for that park to even say you have been. AK is one of my nieces favorite parks after MK so we can easily spend two days there. I usually do two or three park days in a row and then have a day off to hang out at the resort or go to Downtown Disney (Disney Springs now, haven't been since the name change). PS I'm a full day park goer and I let my nieces sleep in the stroller so we can take advantage of the EMH.

SeaWorld is great and I had a great time but with a shorter trip I would stick with one set of tickets. Plan another trip and do SeaWorld and Aquatica or Universal when the kids are a bit older.

If you really want to do SeaWorld look for deals on Black Friday (Blue Friday for SeaWorld).

My kids are also 5 and 3. We went to seaworld today and it was amazing! They loved the shows. We saw the dolphin, whale, and sea lion show.

Definitely add another magic kingdom day if you can. We have already been twice and have not seen everything. Animal kingdom was fun, but if you have a Star Wars fan, I recommend Hollywood studios. We had more to do there then animal kingdom. My son loved all the Star Wars characters and the Jedi training.
