If you get to Seaworld for opening how long would you tend to spend in the park :)

We tend to spend about 6 or 7 hours there and have always managed to do everything we wanted to. :goodvibes

There is enough to spend a whole day(and maybe more) in there from opening to closing if you do everything and don't rush.
With us having Annual passes we tend to do 2 or 3 half days instead of 1 whole one.

With the 1 day ticket I think we can get another day free by getting our tickets validated before we leave. So the idea of two shorter visits appeals :)

Yes 2nd day free with all 1 day tix, get your 2nd day validated on entry, the lines get busy later in day as people are leaving.
Only downside to doing 2 days for you is extra days parking but we find shorter days more enjoyable now(getting old:lmao: )

Does the 2nd day have to be taken consecutively, or can it be the following week?

When we had the free day for our last visit you could use the day whenever you wanted to.

We tend to do Sea World in 2 shorter days, get there for opening and leave in the early afternoon. We enjoy SeaWorld and it feels more relaxed than the DIsney Parks so it makes a nice alternative to the frantic marching arond Disney. And the nice thing with Seawoeld is that if you see the shows a second time, they are just as good :)

Because Sea World is heavy on shows which are fairly lengthy in duration and also due to the way they're scheduled throughout the day, it's not a park which lends itself to whistlestop touring. I like the idea of splitting it between two days, particularly as during the summer months they have some fabulous night-time shows. You could arrive for opening on your first outing and then, say, mid afternoon for your second visit.

Details of a 1 day ticket from SW website.

Take advantage of select tickets at kids' prices when you pre-purchase on our Web site at least 7 days in advance.
Enjoy one visit to SeaWorld anytime within one year of purchase.
2nd Visit Free offers the flexibility to return a second day so you can experience SeaWorld on your schedule.
2nd Visit Free is valid for one additional visit to SeaWorld during regularly scheduled park hours for up to 7 consecutive days from the date of the first visit at no extra charge.

We tend to do two split days here. First day we will arrive nice and early to do Kraken and Journey to Atlantis then mooch around taking in a couple of shows. Second day we arrive in the afternoon, have lunch and do the shows we missed on the first day.

The thing with SW isn't getting round it in the time but timing yourself to catch all the shows,in general we are there till late afternoon/early evening. We tend to do the "rides" first thing, get those out of our system & then take our time for the rest of the day. Many moons ago there was even a night time show but that disappeared & I don't think they do the night time Shamu show anymore.
SD:thumbsup2

I think think the night show is still on thru summer peak times, sure I saw it avdertised last August.

Last time we were there we did a whole day at Seaworld, arriving shortly after opening and then staying till more or less closing time. We did all of the shows that we wanted to see (though not all of them) and a ride on Kraken. A full day, but not rushed.

We then returned on the day we were leaving - our flight wasn't until the evening so we had an early lunch and then went to Seaworld for the afternoon - maybe 4 hours. We didn't do any rides, or see any shows - we just wandered around looking at the exhibits that we didn't really see the first day. A very pleasant and relaxed end to the holiday.

All in all, we did everything we wanted to but didn't quite see everything. I guess for many people one day is plenty, but if you're really interested in this type of thing then you could spend a couple of days there.

When me+Hubby went on our own,we would easily stay for 7ish hours+see all that we wanted to,but now with the girls we will be going for shorter days, spread over 2-3 days+evenings :thumbsup2 .x.

We tend to get there for opening on the first visit and stay until about 4pm or 5pm then pop in for two or three more half-days over the rest of the holiday.

weve been at opening time and pretty much spent the whole day there.
i think if i could id prefer to do it over 2 half days as i got a bit bored after a while just looking at all the fish etc.
due to transport we prefer to do it all in a day, if you can do 2 days id go for that :)

We went for the first time last Dec. and had a great time of course but I booked us the tour where you can pet a penguin and I wouldn't do that again for a first visit. It was really cool to do and cost something like 12 dollars each which I thought was so cheap, but I felt we really needed the whole day to do what we wanted. We feed the dolphins which was great fun but for instance, didn't get to feed the seals and I would have loved that :) .

Next time though eh!

Hi Reid,

As others have said 2 half days are great if you can fit them in, Seaworld is DOable in a day,, but why rush if you don't have to?...relax...you're on holiday ;) The most tiring thing about Seaworld (IMHO) is sometimes having to backtrack to catch the different show times, (try to get there earlier than the scheduled show times, the pre show entertainment is hilarious!)
Beware the splash zones as well especialy if you have expensive camcorders/cameras as the water is VERY salty :thumbsup2

Enjoy! :goodvibes

Last time we went to SW we were there for the opening "pledge of allegiance" and tribute to the american forces thing and we got to do everything we wanted before 3 p.m. So we caught the I Ride to the Premium Outlets for a bit of shopping and grabbed a bite to eat. The shows were wonderful but it was very hot and there's not a great deal of shade in the park.
