Sorry for the question (that I could probably get an answer to myself if SEARCH worked :rolleyes1 ;) ), but I was just looking online at Seaworld's ticket prices for one day. Ouch. Can someone tell me, is it worth it? And are there any discounts out there?

We were considering this for our trip (beginning next week) in place of a beach day if the weather is too cool for the beach. Would you spend the day at Seaworld, or Clearwater/St. Pete if the weather was cool out? (Price aside.)

Thanks!! :wizard:

I'll throw this out there too - is it a worth the consideration of spending a day at Universal Studios? (considering the comparison of their prices to Seaworld). :confused3 It is me, DH, and DS (almost 6)

I think so. We always stay at disney and love it, But we like to leave one day and enjoy other things, Last year we went to seaworld and it was so nice. Not so much rushing if you know what I mean. But I don't have children and maybe if I did it would be Disney 24/7.

We love Sea world. It doesn't seem as busy as WDW. There are AAA discounts. I was looking at the website, and I thought if your bought 1 day tickets the 2nd day was free as long as it was used within 7 days.
The night time Shamu show is really good. Also, they are opening a waterpark in March.

SeaWorld is SO worth it!!!

We just got back a week and half ago and went to SW for the first time.

There is a SW forum down at the bottom of the main board page.

I just did a trip report on my SW days if you want to click on the link on my signature. On the first page, first post all the way at the bottom it will say seaworld part 1 and 2 . Just click on those and I have about 50 pics and details about the parks.

SW was great! Feeding the dolphins and rays was incredible and I can PM you a code for 25% off too, and on top of that you get the 2nd day totally free!!!

That makes it about $25.00 a day, and you can't beat that:thumbsup2

I think if you are a Rapid Rewards member through Southwest and show your card, you get 20% off.

We spent our last day in Florida at Seaworld in 06. DH is military, so we got in free. The kids loved it nearly as much as Disney and they have a great rollercoaster and DS7 loved their water ride even more than Splash mtn... Now we have season passes that cover all Busch owned parks except DC. We are sooo excited about the new water park b/c we're coming back in November. We will definitely be spending at least one day at either SW or the new water park, and maybe even both.

Thanks so much! I would love it if you could PM me the code. Can I use the code if I buy tickets there that day, or do I have to do it in advance? Thank you!! :wizard:

I had the same questions about SW. We went to SW in SanDiego about a year and 1/2 ago. Is it the same, or is there somtething diff about the Orlando one? Seems to me that at SD you couldn't feed the dophins anymore...but what else?

Thanks

If you go to www.seaworld.com click on buy tickets--you will see they are currently offering e-tickets for Seaworld and the new Aquatica water park. You can buy a ticket online for $79.95 + tax. The site says:
"Select tickets at kid prices when you purchase at least 7 days in advance. The power of the ocean at SeaWorld and the whimsical one-of-a-kind waterplay at Aquatica. Enjoy unlimited admission for up to 7 consecutive days with our exclusive length of stay benefit. With our E-Ticket, you can print your ticket at home and go straight to the turnstiles. Valid during regularly scheduled operating hours. Tickets are non-transferable. This offer is not to be combined with any other special events or discounts."

Aquatica opens March 1st. We had planned on doing 1 disney park plus typhoon lagoon this year until I found this deal. We've never been to Seaworld. DS13 is a big animal lover and LOVES water parks. He is super psyced for Aquatica. I think this is the best deal out there right now for our family. We are in Orlando for 5 days and plan 2 days at each park! :thumbsup2

My family went to Sea World in 2005 and we loved it. But to be honest I don't think one day is enough. We only got to see the Shamu show that day and missed all the other shows because we had to decide if we wanted to see all the attractions and do some of the rides or see the shows. I think you would need at least a day and half to see every inch of the park and all the shows too.

One day is not enough to see all the exhibits AND all the shows, you definately need 2 days.

They offer the second day free so if you can fit it in you can get most done in those two days.

We went two days and watched 2 shows each day.

Click the above link and enter the code southwestairlines

This gives you 25% off your tickets ~ That makes them $46.00 for an adult:thumbsup2

You will also get the second day free, they don't check for employee ID , it doesn't say anything on your e-tickets about the discount, and it is a great deal!

We did it and used ours 3 weeks ago, no problems:)

I think we are going to end up skipping it all together. I am afraid we will be too rushed, and I always have a tendecy to do this on vacation. I see an "open" day and I feel the need to fill it with something. I think we will just take a down day. Thanks for the replies though, it just gives me reason to plan another Florida vacation!
