My DD (7) just let me know I made a promise to her last June while at Disney that I'd take her to Seaworld this trip. I kinda know the in's and outs of WDW but Seaworld, that's a whole different story. Can you fill me in on the admission prices, hours, can it be done in a day, will my 11 year old non animal lover be bored??? Help please!

Here's the website : http://www.seaworld.com/seaworld/fla/default.aspx

If you purchase 7 days in advance (online), you get $55.95/adult and $43.95 for you dd.
At the gate, you'll pay $61.95/$49.95 (online without 7 day advance purchase).
Not sure what time of the year you're going, but they open at 9 am every day and close anywhere from 6 pm to 11 pm depending on the time of year. You can check the website for that.
If your dd is non animal loving, not sure how much she will enjoy. I can't imagine her not enjoying the whales/dolphin shows though ? There are a couple rides there (Journey to Atlantis, Kraken, Wild Artic). Kraken is a high thrill steel roller coaster---don't think she's old enough for that.
I believe SW can be done in a day, especially if your dd bores of animals. My kids love the ocean/sea life, so we can easily spend 2 days there.
Maybe you and your dd could plan a nice lunch together. They have a restaurant there where you can view the huge aquarium underwater as you dine called Shark Grill or something similar.
PS---also, I know SW used to accept AAA discounts for some dining/admission/merchandise.
Hope this helps.

I'm going to move this to the Seaworld forum for you. I'm sure you'll find everything you need there!!! :goodvibes

I was wondering the same thing...so, I searched the Travel Channel and lucked up on a 1 hour special. It was 1/17 @ 6:00 pm. Maybe, you can check to see if it's coming on again soon. Before this special I didn't know what to expect from SW....all in all it looks like a nice place. My son is just as excited to visit as he is about DW. From what they showed it looks like the complete park can be done in 1 day. BTW-Kraken looks like it is out the picture for us. My DS is 7 and I wouldn't feel comfortable with him on this one yet!

Even though your 11 yo is not really into animals....he or she will still get a kick out of the shows.
