Seaworld questions

The day we are planning on going to SeaWorld, the hours are listed as 10am-8pm. The Howl-o- scream event starts at 7. Does this mean the park really closes at 7 as I know the animal exhibits are not open during Howl-o-scream? If we are allowed to stay until 7, will things start getting scary?

Also I noticed the sealion show is temporarily closed, but I can't find any info as to why or for how long. Any insights?
