Thanks so much for the info! Seaworld's website is not very intuitive and I completely missed the info on the hour long tours. I am the volunteer photographer/webmaster for our zoo here and I went to the Saving a Species Tour a couple of years ago. I thought it was great. We were able to see manatees they had rescued including a baby, their vet area (through windows), what kind of kits they take on rescues and they have a aviary behind the scenes for rescued birds that they let you go into and feed the birds.
I'm definitely booking the Polar Expedition Tour for me and my DN 11. She's convinced she wants to be a vet and also volunteers with me at the zoo. Last time I was there I had to wait in line for Wild Arctic forever and they made me sit through the non motion part of the ride when all I really wanted to do is see the animals. I tried to sneak in from the gift store (a tip I read) but they seem to have someone watching that exit.
