Okay, so we've never, ever been on a "real" vacation and I'd like to take my daughter to Seaworld in September. She'll be 15 at the time.

Can anyone give me any information on this? Where can I get a package deal (air fare, hotel, park passes, etc)? Does anyone have an approximate cost (coming from NY (JFK, LGA, or ISP -- flying to FL on a Wednesday, returning on Saturday).

Any info is greatly appreciated!!!!!

My advice would be to go to Discovery Cove if you can afford it. The cost includes admission to Sea World too. I would check Southwest and Jet Blue, they usually run good deals.

If it were me, I would fly out on Tues. night so that I'd have 3 full days. One for Discovery Cove and the others for Sea World.

Have a great time!

You can usually find pretty good flight deals on SW from ISP to Orlando. One of the few places you can fly direct from Islip.

I've also flown very cheaply to Florida on Jet Blue from JFK (but never to Orlando).

try using www.kayak.com to check for flights. I don't believe southwest is on there. I check them separately.

Last Feb, we go tix for $200. Flew down on Delta and back on Jetblue out of JFK.

This June we are going roundtrip on Delta out of LGA, again 200 per ticket.

As for hotels, I would look on Seaworld's site. There are extra benefits for staying at one of their partner hotels.

I dont know if you realize or not, but there is a Sea World forum. Here is a link

There are lots of good thread there...and you may get more help with SW there.

Here is a deal we used, but only because we live near enough to Williamsburg to visit Busch Gardens frequently. But consider it in your cost estimates because if you opt for Discovery Cove, they often offer seriously discounted rates for those with APs. If you get the AP through Sesame Place it will be the cheapest AP pass (Sesame Place is considered your Home Park) therefore it's a cheaper AP because it's seasonally closed. But this will gain you entry into SeaWorld and Aquatica and reduced price on Discovery Cove if they're having an AP special at the time.

BUT today is the last day for this 20% off deal on the AP through Sesame Place...

Sesame Place Super Grover Annual Pass

We love SeaWorld and we love Discovery Cove. But if DC is too expensive, definitely consider the Penguin Experience at SeaWorld - my daughter did that when she was 14 and it's still her favorite experience ever. (If you squat at their level, the penguin is more likely to approach you - she figured that out fast!)

They are currently running a special for a one day ticket with free All Day Dining (one day at SeaWorld). Plus you can combine it with the Buy 4 nights Get 1 Free Hotel deal. You have to book it through SeaWorld or call them. It is about $55 per person to make your tickets unlimited for SeaWorld and Aquatica. Plus if you do the add on then you get a day of free dining at Aquatica. You also get free QuickQue and transportation to the parks.

We went last June and got a package deal thru SeaWorld, we got two days and free dining for one day and the hotel, also a quick que which we didn't need because it wasn't that crowded. We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel and it was great! We just walked across the parking lot so no waiting on shuttles or parking fees. Our balcony over looked some of SeaWorld. Check that hotel out for sure, you won't be sorry. DD actually wants to go back to stay at the hotel sometime, she was 16 at the time and loved sitting out by the pool and the fire pits in the evenings.
You can get a rental car from the Orlando airport and your airline ticket directly from their website cheaper than a package probably.
